According to allears.net, the parade has 3 main character themed floats, and 3 areas in which these floats stop for audience to participate in the show.

We are pretty enthusiastic about this attraction, but I have never seen it mentioned before (it got a whole 2 lines in my Disneyland guidebook I bought at Chapters), and there isn't really much mention of it anywhere else either.

Can anyone tell me how often the parade runs, when it runs, specifically during off season (once a week, only on weekends, etc...) where exactly it goes (same route as DEP, or different?) and how it works with the 3 shows - in order to participate in more than one (my kids love ALL the Pixar movies), would we have to see it 3 separate times (probably not likely....)

Basically, ANY information would be appreciated!!

If I'm not mistaken, Block Party Bash is no longer at DCA. I believe its being moved to FL. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You're not wrong. It's gone.

The DEP is taking it's place on weekends until Pixar Play Parade is revealed in early March.

Any info on Pixar Play Parade then? We're there in April, so I assume it will be running then?

Yes, it will be running then. It's an afternoon parade, and features Pixar characters much like the BPB did. I don't have details on floats or anything, but I'm sure there's info out there if you look hard enough. Personally, I want to be surprised. ;)

I was mainly just wondering if it would be a daytime or evening type of thing (our evenings at the park will be short, simply because of the ages of our little ones), and if it would be showing only on weekends, since we are going in off season. I guess it's probably best to assume so, then we'll make sure to fit it into our one weekend day at the park!

I was just looking for the time myself and the calendar for March says 5:15 pm so same time as BPB was. I assume the time will be close or the same for April. I hope they load the parade schedules soon, I so want to see DEP. We haven't seen it since 2004.

Nothing will compare to BPB! RIP, favoritest parade ever. :(

(I made favoritest a word just for BPB.. Yeah, I did love it that much...)

It should be a daytime parade. But do try to make one Electrical Parade even though it is a night parade.

AAAWWWW.... I hearing about this for the first time.

We are going to DL in June. Im disappointed.

How unfortunate. My kids loved the block party. That was a favorite. I liked it too because it wasn't crowded.

Pixar Pals Parade features many characters, from the old classic block party to new additions, aka cars, ratatouille, etc etc. In a way, it is kinda like the old block party bash, BUT there is a brand new addition that really is interesting. As far as the float, Monsters Inc will start the parade with the Pixar Pals Logo on a drum held be Sculey. The Toy Story float will feature rex biting a pole where the dancers can swing on it. This parade will also feature wet zones. Yes, that means you get WEEEEEEEET!

Currently, the parade floats are coming in slowly. There are rumors currently that the music hasnt even been started and no dance movements either. Seemingly, it seems it will be delayed. It has also been rumored that with the closure of the front of the park, the parade will start from the Pacific Wharf gate and go to Paradise pier.

Thats all i know...

Thanks Albort! Was hoping this post might prick up your ears! Always good to have an insider around!
Hopefully, even if it is delayed, it will still be running when we get there - ds2 is absolutely peeing himself with excitement about getting to meet McQueen, and Ds1 is an insane Toy Story fan (we WORE OUT our VHS copies of both TS movies, and had to upgrade to DVD's...:thumbsup2 ) This parade sounds like their dream come true. Since they are boys, the princesses and stuff don't mean much, but getting to meet the Pixar characters would be the highlight of their little lives!!

Thanks so much Albort!

Albort, unintentionally I'm sure, keeps calling the new Pixar Play! Parade "Pixar Pals". ;) The correct name for the parade is Pixar Play Parade.

The spoilers are all info he shared in his post.

The concern I have for my son and others, and was mentioned in your post mommyof2boys1girl is HOW people are going to meet Mater and McQueen. They were absolutely GONE from their "garage" where they were in Sept and Dec, during my quick trip. No sign, no nothing, just gone and an empty garage.

I have heard that they will be in the parade.

So when will they be available and where will they be available? I loved having them just parked in their garage, and hated the descriptions of when they would drive out and the chaos that was reported.

Any spoilers on that, Mr Albort? :)
