How does bounce back FD differ from the regular FD offer?

We are here now and having a great time. DH just said he wants to do it again next year. I'm assuming we should book the bounce back. I've searched prior threads but can't really figure out how the current bounce back for FD differs from the normally offered FD. Is it that you get to book sooner or is it a better deal in term of rates than what is normally offered? Any suggestions of best resort to book or just personal preference? Thanks!!

There's never any guarantee whether or when FD will be offered next year. If you have any interest, book now.

Any free dining offer means you are paying full price for resort and tickets, so whether you do the bounce back free dining or general free dining when/if it's offered, the rate will be the same. The bounce back that is offered right now has dates that we haven't seen with free dining in several years, so that's one advantage. The general free dining has been very limited the past two years, so if you can book the resort and room category you like right now, I'd book now.

It is not any different in terms of cost. You do get a leg up on others doing the mad dash for FD when it opens up later. Mathematically, FD only makes sense for value and perhaps moderates. Room discount is almost always a better deal for deluxe.

And if BB free dining books up, they may not even offer those dates as a general public offer.

Book it now as a bb offer. If you wait til next year to see if it's offered as a regular fd promotion for the general public, you'll be paying more in ticket prices.

The bounce back dates that were reported did not include much Sept. dates and no Oct dates. They are different then the dates Disney released. I would book the bounce back, you can always cancel later if you find something better or change your mind.

Not sure if these dates are all still available, this was reported a while ago. Could you report back if this is still current & if there were any resort exclusions?

Just wanted to report back. Thanks to all of your advice, we did book the bounce back for the end of August. It is only open for deluxe and moderate resorts. I only asked for our time period but the only excluded resort was FQ.

I had to call the general reservation number as the bb number was closed by the time I closed (sending me into a bit of a panic!) The CM I spoke to was unfamiliar with the offer and it took awhile to get prices on the different resorts and dates. Still very helpful. Thanks for all the posts here!
