How Does Allegiant Air Do Boarding?

Hi~
This will be our first time flying Allegiant Air so I have no idea how they go about boarding. I didn't spend the extra money on the pre-assigned seats because my boys are both teenagers and would be fine should we not get to sit together but I would love to know what to expect. I realize that those that did pay for an assigned seat will board first but what happens to the rest of us after they board? Also, what are our chances of the three of us sitting together? Thanks so much for your help!! :thumbsup2

We flew them this week for the 1st time. If you didn't buy the seat, they assigned one for you. They pre-boarded anyone needing assistance and people traveling with kids under 4. They then boarded the plane starting with the rear and moving forward.
We didn't "buy" our seats and all 3 of us sat together on the outbound and inbound flights.

I've flown allegiant a couple of times, i love them but they crack me up. the gal that checked me and everyone else in, then she security checked our bags, screened us, boarded us, then she stepped on the plane, i was afraid she was going to fly it too..........still great for the buck

Thanks for the info guys, hopefully the three of us will also get to sit together. Wow,TENIA66 that's what I call multi-tasking!!!

Nik's Dad....you said that they pre-boarded anyone needing assistance or those with kids under 4, but do they first board those who paid for specific seats? Thanks!

The ones who pre-paid for a specific seat, were boarded after those that needed assistance. It is not a cattle call for seats, when you check in at the airport, they assign you a seat. We did not pre pay for our seats and we (3) were assigned 3 seats together on both of our flights between Knoxville & Clearwater. Unless you just have to sit together I would not pay the $11.

I guess I'm just concerned that if we pay for the front of the plane seats (due to wanting to help keep our kids from kicking other peoples seats-they can stay still, but I'd rather them be able to move their little legs around if the desire too) and then someone else gets them for some reason like a disability I will wish I hadn't paid. I'm still trying to decide wether to pay or not. We HAVE to sit together because we have five children ages 9 and under and I there's no way I will allow a stranger to be with any of my children without my dh or me right beside. We are paying for my mom and her husand to come along so I guess if worse came to worse we could break up in twos, except one of use would need to be in a group of three. Anyway...I'm just babbling. Thanks for the information.
