We get out of bed the first time the alarm sounds so we set it for when we want to get up.

For the summer we have a boarder and she typically sets her alarm for about an hour before she needs to get up and hits the snooze about 5 - 6 times before getting out of bed.

I set mine for 30 minutes before I have to get up and hit snooze until it is time for me to get up. My alarm is actually across the room so I have to get up out of bed to hit the snooze button. I have tried just setting it for when I need to get up and it is such a struggle for me. I am not one that can just jump out of bed and go. My DH and DS can do this.

We were having trouble with DD getting up for school and I thought ya know she is probably like me which is why it is so hard to get her up. So I started getting her up 30 min. before she had to really get up and have her come get in the bed with me....then she and I would slowly sort of wake up together...it made mornings alot smoother. Plus since DH was already gone to work it gave me and DD some bonding time as we would lay there and talk.

If I set my alarm on "alarm" I can get up right away (it startles me :lmao:) If I set it for radio, then I hit snooze a couple times. Usually depends on how early I have to get up. If the time looks early, I set it for the time I really need to get up and put it on alarm. If it's not that early, I'll set it for a half hour earlier and put it on music!

I can't remember the last time I used my alarm. I always wake up before I need to - or right on time - even when I have to get up earlier than usual.

Mine is set for 6:45, but I've never woken up to it. I usually get up at 6:30 of my own accord.

It annoys the crap out of me when people within earshot hit the snooze button constantly. I don't mind if it is at 7am or even 8am, but DON'T be doing that at 5 or 6am!!! The rest of us are still asleep.

Me, I haven't set an alarm in years. I don't have to be up till 7:30, and I wake up then no problem (or, one of the three living alarm clocks wake me up by then). :lmao:

Fur-lined, four-legged, no snooze (or off) buttons and either hungry, hafta pee or both.

I'm usually about a 2-snoozer. I just can't seem to get out the first time the alarm goes off.

I'm such a light sleeper (actually I think it's mom-paranoia) that any alarm in the house will wake me up. And once I'm up, I'm up. :guilty: So like, if someone gets up at 5AM and decides to nuke a cup of coffee... hopefully it's one of the family members who realizes that the beeping after the microwave's done will wake me up, and stops it early!

I'm a snoozer. I ususally set the alarm 40 minutes before I have to get up and hit the snooze 5 times(8 minute snooze).

I'm not a morning person so waking up and getting out of bed takes a lot of effort. Without the snooze I would probably just turn off the alarm and before I got out of bed I'd pass out asleep.

I'm a set the alarm person and get out of bed when it goes off.

My alarm is set for the latest time we can get up and get out of the house for school / work.

I don't understand people that set it and then hit snooze over and over. Why would you want 8 mins of sleep over and over instead of just a straight block of sleep without interuptions?!?! I had a roommate in college (who I didn't like for many reasons) that had this annoying habit of doing that. I didnt' care so much on the days I had early classes, but on days I didn't it would piss me off as I would have to deal with him doing that.

I can honestly say I don't think I have ever hit snooze in my life.

I hate it when people snooze more than once or twice! If I don't get up before the alarm even goes off, then I get up at the first ring. Rarely if I'm sleepy, I'll let it snooze once, but that usually only happens if I'm not feeling well or didn't get any sleep.

My husband would use snooze for two hours if I'd let him get away with it. Although he will sometimes take the alarm clock downstairs with him and snooze for 2 hours. UGH! Drives me nuts!

When I was in high school and my early 20's I was the snooze button queen. Now I set the alarm across the room and jump up when it sounds so it doesn't wake anyone else. Most days I get up before the alarm though. Sucks getting older.:lmao:

On a side note, can you hear your borders alarm for that hour? That would drive me NUTS!

I set it once and jump up! I am definitely not a snooze person, if I hit the snooze button several times and had to hear the alarm several times I would be in a constant bad mood!

DH and I get up at different times. He hits snooze 4-6 times. I get up a little bit after him. I usually hit snooze twice. My husband actually has to get out of bed to hit the snooze, then he gets back in bed. I dont understand how he does that!! What drives me nuts is if he finally gets up and then goes to the bathroom and to the shower and forgets to turn the alarm clock off, he's really just hit snooze and then gone about his morning. Then his alarm goes off again and he's gone and I end up having to get up and turn it off.

I set the alarm on my cell phone and set it on my bedside table. It's on vibrate but it still wakes me. Every now and then I'll snooze it but most times I get right up.

I don't know how, but for the past 10 years or so no matter what time I have to be up, I just wake up. It's like I have an internal alarm clock. It's weird. If I have a flight or something really important that I am worried about being late for I will set and alarm, but I always wake up before it. The down side to this is that I never sleep in, I always wake up early.

I definitely don't "jump out of bed and go" and I'm not a morning person at all, but when the alarm goes off, I drag myself out of bed. There is no hitting snooze for me. I've never been one to hit the snooze. Can't see the point in it because if I fall back to sleep after hitting snooze, I either wouldn't wake up next time or I'd be even more tired because of the whole "interrupted sleep" thing.

I use my iPhone as an alarm; it goes off first, followed by my iHome, which has an older iPod on it. I can't chance that I might sleep through one of the alarms or that one might malfunction, so I always set both.
