how do you use priceline for hotels?

I'm sure this has been answered many times, but I have a reservation for LaQuinta Lakeside for 29.00 plus per night and after reading the boards, it sounds like I can get it for 19.00. Can anyone help me to get into Priceline or other? I guess I need to register first? I would love some help. Thanks, Marla

You have to be comfortable accepting any hotel that is in the area you choose. If you choose the area that has that particular La Qiuinta (it may or may not be one that pricleine deals with) check the list at biddingfor travel and be prepared to get any of the hotels on the list for that area. Once you have bid if your bid is accepted they will then tell you what accomodations you have received. They will charge your credit card for the full amount and you can not get a refund if it is a place you are not interested in.
I have used Priceline many times and have always been happy but I won't use it for my stays in Orlando as I like complete control. I will use it for arrival night on my Disney trips and use it for other kinds of travel.
