How do you unhype a puppy?

My puppy is a little under the weather and his vet gave him an antibiotic (she thinks he has allergies). When they gave me the prescription, I told my dd I really, really hope it doesn't do to him what certain kinds of antibiotics does to my ds (he bounces of the walls with some kinds). Evidentally, I jinxed myself. Boo is so hyper he can't sit still for too long (this goes on for about 3-4 hours after he takes his medicine ). He wears me out. How do I get him to be less hyper? He eats a little bit after he takes his medicine, so I know he's not hyper from an empty stomach.

Look on the bright side.... he could be a St. Bernard galloping around the place.

Teach the baby fetch. And return. That way you can sit still and he can get rid of some energy.

LOL! He doesn't like me to rub his tummy too much, MJ. He'd rather bite my fingers off if they're anywhere near him.

Laurie, we've tried to teach him fetch. He thinks we're stupid. He'll look at us like "well, what do you want me to do-surely you don't expect me to get that, now do you?" He's such a King.

Sis, I have a standard 1-2 am playtime now. I hope no one tells him normal 9 week olds need a nighttime feeding. I'm hoping one day to not think his yapping is cute.

Have any of you seen the movie Hounded? Boo was acting just like that little doggey in that movie.

Ethel, you'd think his med was Vitameata the way he likes to chug it down. You can just see in his eyes he's saying "tastes like candy".

Our puppy plays fetch pretty well but he had a big sister that taught him how. Another dog really does come in handy for them to play with.

I bet he is already spoiled rotten. Maybe if you get up at 5:00 am every morning and take him jogging for an hour, it will tire him out a little.

He is sooooo cute!!! I can't help, though, I am having the same problems here, only without the meds!!!

My DH said I can keep the dog as long as I vacuum daily, he does not want to see any pet hair or paw prints. Last night we argued about getting rid of the old furniture so she stops chewing it.

Sigh!!!
