How do you transfer resorts?

We have several hotel transfers during our trip. What's the easiest/most effective way to do this? We plan to do rope drop on hotel transfer days.

Check out and uber over to the new hotel?
Can you check out and leave all your stuff with bell services and they will transfer for you?

Always matters on whether we drive or fly. Fly, we just leave all luggage with bell services like pp said and head to the park of choice. IF we drive, I send all the other family members to the park of choice while I drive the luggage and vehicle over to the new hotel. I then just pull up curbside, check the luggage and park the car and head to the park. By the way, love how you spelled Averi !! Unique. :tigger:

Do you guys know what they do if we have cold items? Might add a wrinkle I suppose.

Personally, if I had refrigerated items, I’d pack everything up, Uber or taxi or drive to next resort, drop all off with Bell Services having them keep the bag(s) of refrigerated items in their cooler. Then go out, and when you return and room is ready have them bring you your stuff (or go get it if you can).

We always have cold items whenever we do split stays and Bell Services always keeps them cold. Before, during and after actual transit. We just make sure they are packed in a separate bag.
Yeah, What Stu Grimson fan said!

We do a lot of split stays. We have never had any cold items to manage so I can't comment on that. But....

We just pack up our stuff and let Bell Services know where we are going and they take care of the rest! We hit rope drop at a park and when we get the text that our next room is ready, we head over and request our bags be brought up, and we check out our new room and relax a bit and then head back to the parks. Super easy!

Honestly Disney can't make this process any easier. I have even transferred in and out of Swan/Dolphin to/from a Disney Resort with zero issues as well.
I know it can be somewhat worrisome but just like DME...have faith.

There have been many reports here where people did not receive their transferred luggage for 12+ hours after dropping it off. The transfer between resorts isn't as seamless as a Magical Express luggage transfer and delivery, and I've read reports where they were not able to track or locate the luggage when inquired about it. It took some legwork and time to find it. I'm sure this is not typical, but there's greater leeway for something to go wrong with this luggage transfer than there is with a DME one. Also, I believe they will not deliver the luggage to your room at your new resort until you are physically in the room and call for it.

If it were me, I'd just Uber with my luggage in the morning and leave it with bell services. Uber will drop you off at the front entrance, which is near bell services, so it will be quick to drop everything and head right to the bus stop.

When I transferred resorts back in February, my luggage had been delivered to my room at the new resort without me asking for it.

That sometimes happens. It is more typical for them to have you call down for your bags. It is a nice surprise when you go to your room and your bags are waiting. 😊

In this case, I had actually stopped at bell services on the way to my room that night, and they told me the bags had already been delivered.

As PP mentioned, that can happen, but its not typical. When planning, its best to expect you'll have to either retrieve your bags from bell services yourself or be in the room to have them delivered. Its more important to consider this if you expect to get to your room late and won't want to wait for them, or if you have a lot of luggage and can't cart it yourself from bell services.

We always get up early, Uber over to new resort, do early check in (sometimes our room has been ready) leave luggage with Bell Service and head to a park. I like knowing my luggage will be there when I want it.
