Just curious how everyone tips on the dining plan? Do you leave the traditional 15 or 20% or do you leave a flat amount at each meal? Just curious as I feel with the cost of WDW food more expensive than elsewhere what most people do. Thanks so much:)

We always tip like it's a normal meal. the first bill you get has the price on it and the you tip whatever you think is appropriate. they will bring you back a receipt so you can charge it to your room if on property.

We always tip between 15 and 20% depending on the level of service.

We always tip 18-20% on the price of the meal before tax. Your receipt should show you how much a 15-18-20% tip would be and it's up to you what you want to leave.

We tip between 18% - 20%. I already know more or less what we will spend at each TS restaurant and have pre-decorated envelopes already prepared. And pre-stuffed with a certain amount of money. Then we round up our tip to the nearest dollar (and sometimes add more) and adjust the money in the envelope as necessary.

8 TS meals last year and 7 servers commented on the envelopes. I remember one in particular was thrilled. She told us that she can give it to her manager and it counts as a positive report of her service. (My wording as I forget her actual wording).

I agree that the WDW food is way overpriced; however, I feel that has little to do with what you leave for a tip.

We tip between 15%-20% .... however, because I normally will drink ice water at a meal I will order that instead of a soda ... saving $0.50 from my tip bill. I've yet to skip the dessert, however, that "free" dessert in tip money will cost you about $1.25 !!!!

So, I feel your pain; however, if you can't afford to properly tip you may want to stick with the CS dining plan.
