Hey all

Just wondering, i'm relatively tall for a gal 5 ' 10", and all umbrella strollers kill my back..has anyone got a solution for this??? i'd love to find an extender or a umbroller for tall people.....
:thumbsup2

Google stroller handle extension or umbrella stroller handle extension and you'll find several. They can be a back-saver for us tall folks. :) I don't know enough about the different brands to make a recommendation, sorry.

Buy real umbrella fold strollers as opposed to mass-market steel cheapos. Macs, Plikos, etc. all have 42" handles and a tilt-back orientation that gives more stride room.

Combis, however, are a poor choice for the tall -- either kids *or* parents.

I Think The One We Have That Kills Me Is Graco???

DH is 5' 9" (ish) and we have a Chicco that he is fine with.

DH is 6'1" and we purchased a handle extender at onestepahead.com
It was the best investment and it fits on any brand stroller

I have this issue, being 6'2".

Whenever we went somewhere DW had to push. She is only 5'2" so to find something that works for both of us was a challenge. First I was going to use the extension bars from my Mountain bike but then I was going to invest in a Maclaren, since I tried one and it was great. Only issue is the are $270 here in Canada.

Then we just bought a Joovy since we have 2 kids, dd2 and DS 2 months. I love the stroller and it is a good height.

I am also tall 5'8. DH is 6'5, we had the same issue. We wound up with the Macleran quest, nice height for us and it is a very nice stroller, DS loves it now at 5 months. The next pricepoint up in the Macleran is the techno and it is taller and has adjustable handles. Good luck!

I feel your pain!! I am 6' tall and I need a good stroller for my trip this December! Thanks for posting this Tenia!:thumbsup2

We use a Kidco LS2000 and it has adjustable height handles. At the highest setting, they are taller than the Macs we've parked it next to when we're at WDW.

Im also 5'10" and had the same problem. I gave away a Chico Caddy and bought a Mac Quest which I love. No more back strain from bending over! At the time the handle extensions were sort of a new thing and they just didnt look sturdy enough. Maybe now theyre better.

we have a chicco C5 and it's great im 5'10 and can push it fine, and my younger brother who is 6'5" also has no problem with it. but it can only hold up to 37lbs thats the only draw back but my 9 month old is only 17lbs so I dont have to worry about the weight for a while.

DH is 6'2 and has no problem pushing our Mac Quest. My mother on the other hand at 5'2 found the handle height awkward.

DH is 6'3" we bought a Jeep Umbrella stroller last year just for our trip. At $30it was cheaper than renting one and great to have in the airport. Turned out, it's our favorite stroller! It was very comfortable for DH to use, and DD(2then, now 3) LOVES it too!

DH and I are both 6'2" and it was a life saver when we finally bought handle extenders. My back never felt better --- a definite must-have for anyone who is above average in height!

I am 5'10" and use the MacLaren Triumph. It also has a higher weight capacity for older children and is compact when folded.

I'm 5'11" and we have a Peg Perego P3 we use for travel. I've used Maclarens in the past and I kick the wheels too much with them and I hate how tippy they are! We also have a Chicco C1 that's ok but the handles are a tad too short. My uncle is 6'6" and he was comfortable pushing the P3 while we were in Florida last week.

I'm 5'9" and recently bought the MacLeran Volo- it's perfect! And the price wasn't too bad- I got it on target.com for about $89 and free shipping.

Keep the suggestions coming! I am in the market for a new stroller. I am only 5'4", but DH is 6'4" and he is the stroller pusher:) I'd love to find something for around $60!
