Isn't the no fees a limited offer for the first year? I thought I read that somewhere.

Came back last night, Thomas Cook card was great, easy to check balance online, transactions showed up straight away, first time I used card, they slid through card reader and gave straight back, I looked to sign, but they said under 50 dollars no sig needed ( so don't loose it ), some shops like target have chip and pin, at universal where the entrance tickets cost 624 dollars (ouch), they accepted no probs, just wanted passport as I'd.

Will def use again.

TC card usually does work without any issues but it costs 2.2% in conversion fees. Todays interbank rate is $1.529 but with TC you would only get $1.4954

They only guarantee to be fee free for the first year but this is taken from the FAQ on their website about what will happen after the first year:

'We reserve the right to change our pricing structure after the first 12 months of using the Revolut service, however, we do not expect there to be a significant change. Revolut was launched with the ambition to offer a fair and transparent alternative to foreign exchange with no hidden fees and we fully intend to live by that philosophy.
We would never charge our customers without clearly explaining the changes and asking their express permission to sign them up on a subscription basis.'

I will keep an eye out for them introducing fees but at the moment it seems to be offering a good alternative for people who don't want to/can't get a fee free credit card.

The transaction fees (or processing fees) paid by the retailer goes to the retailers card processing company.
When this card was launched Martin Lewis said the only way this company can make money is by using the users data to sell extra products.
