Usually I only use cash for tolls, everything else goes on credit cards, either Halifax Clarity or Post Office, both are full interbank rate.
I say usually as we leave tomorrow and I found $719 in a cupboard so this trip I will use that up first then use my credit cards.
Ah, to live in a world where you stumble across £460 of foreign currency in a cupboard.
I found a quarter in my purse the other day. I kept it.
My boyfriend likes to use the post office money card however he doesn't get as good of an exchange rate.
Just pointing out for the benefit of those who don't know, but the Post Office prepaid card is not the same as the Post Office credit card. The credit card has no fees and gives the interbank rate. If you pay it off by the due date there's no interest on it either.
