We are going "home" August 4-11th. I know we will be getting a 3 day hopper, and I know we want to see the shuttle go up on the 9th(maybe view it from Cocoa Beach) and also take in DDD one day. We would like to just spend the rest of the time hanging out at the resort. Just curious as to what everyone does if they are just hanging out at the resort. We are new members as of Jan 06, and have been to SSR last October for about 5 days, but ended up at the parks the majority of the time. This trip we would like to explore the resort a bit more. Any ideas are welcome ones:) We have 2 kids (21 and 14).:beach:

We LOVE SSR! We stayed there in April, and my husband and I decided we could easily spend a vacation there and not go to any parks. The resort has lots of beautiful walking paths, wonderful pools, a movie theatre, an of course, DTD!! It truly is a resort all itself, and its so lovely and scenic, that the parks are just a bonus. It makes me so happy that we bought there. We brought my parents in April and they thought they were in another world, they could not get over how beautiful the place was. You can rent bikes and follow the bike path, there is golf right there, you can also pick up a bus @ DTD and easily go to any other resort to dine. It's the best!:thumbsup2 Have fun!

I hope others post. We are staying at SSR in mid Aug. for our first trip home and I would love to hear what others have done too. Great post!!!

We spend quite a bit of time at the pools and we play board games.Just walking around the resort. And we walk over to DTD just about every night just to see if there something going on.Like in May they had a kids dance party going on at the stage a couple of nights it was a riot. We just get some ice cream sit relax and watch. We have APs so if we do go to a park we go early and get back early. Its rare that we don't spend at least 4hrs at the pool each day.

We spent 2 weeks there this past Feb. and will spend the entire month of Feb. in 2008 at SSR. We work out at the gym-spa in the morning along with a long walk around the resort. Depending on the weather, we spend time at the pool. A walk to DTD is nice. With annual passes we also go into the parks for a while most days. Sure beats WI weather in Feb. although we did have many cool days and frost a couple of mornings. A great resort for relaxing.

Our kids spend alot of time in community hall & the arcade. We spend time in the spa. We all spend time lounging by the pool.

We love SSR & feel it very relaxing.

We're spending a week there in December and we're hoping for nice enough weather for afternoon pool sessions, but I think I'm going to take advantage of the massage services at the Spa. My niece was making noises about having a massage when we were there in May, so I may book a massage for her as part of her Christmas present.

We love the Spa at SSR. We rent bikes, we relax by the pools, we walk down town. It can be a very relaxing resort.
