How do you see the community board? *Inspired by another thread*

OK, I must be feeling thicker skinned today because I am actually going to weigh in. I agree with Dawn and Hadley. Much like a real life community, the Dis CB is a mixture of young and old, rich and not so rich, varied cultures, ideas, and opinions. I don't see it as limited to any particular group and I welcome hearing from teens in both real life and on the CB.

I see it as a community. Much like kids and teens at an adult gathering, some stay and talk, many leave with not much to say. I am not sure why anyone thinks it needs to be more tightly structured.

Well said. I agree. All ages should feel welcome to come here, but the teens do not. I am in my 50's and am sometimes apprehensive about posting my opinion because of a few people who feel they have to attack everything everyone says. That is odd too because I am as outspoken as they come. Just because someone sees something different does not mean that gives them the right to belittle or attack the other person. That goes on here too much lately. Either that or there are some who try to "talk over" others. Not necessary.

Pretty much sums it up as I see it...although I did enjoy the CB more when it was "livelier"
