I say:
merry - murry, as in the male name.
ferry - furry, as in a little furry animal.
very - vary, as in something varies.
strawberry - strawbury, as in to bury something.

I wonder why I say vary and not vury?

I also say just as jest. Like: I jest got back from the store or I jest finished eating lunch. :p

I say them like a true southerner. :p Have to add some extra syllables and drag it out just right. :p

merry- something like mair- (long) e
ferry-same as above ROFL

<font color=navy>No no -- not Texas! Come to California! We'll show you the right way. (We have no accent to mess us up) :p :teeth:

I say them all to rhyme with "bury", although the question is, how do you say "bury"?
I guess it would be "beh ree" for me.
Just dont ask me to say "Pahk the cah in Hahvad yahd.".

Lets see...in Oklahoma we say it...

Merry
Ferry
Very
Strawberry all with a short e here too. :D
