How do you rent someone's DVC points?

We are wanting to travel to Disney ......(details removed)........ We want to buy someone's points from them so that we can try out a DVC property. We don't know how to do this or if it is even possible. Can someone please give us a push in the right direction.

Check out the rent/trade board here on the DIS.

While it is referred to as renting points you are really renting a reservation from a DVC member. There is a DVC Rent/Trade Board here on the DIS where members with excess points can offer to make reservations for potential renters. You must be logged into the DIS to access that board. Be sure to read the "How to use this Board" sticky thread.

Given how close you are to your travel dates availability might be a problem.
