How do you remember DISers?

I was sad to read of a fellow DISers passing on another thread (Marlasmom).
I don't remember her, but some people mentioned remembering avatars and such.

How do you remember fellow DISers?
I'd say Avatars, signatures and if they have a particularly catchy or easy name.

And, of course, if you have conversations going in several threads with them..

I have not changed my avatar since very early in the beginning. Hopefully I am known for my humor, maybe some photos as well.

But I find myself reading through whole threads and not looking at who wrote what.

I also remember by signatures

Many posters I know because of their signatures. I am not a good name person, but some names do stick. Sadly, I tend to remember the controversial and not so friendly posters the easiest.

Mostly by their user name. But I have a really hard time distinguishing those with Mickey, Tigger, Pooh, etc. in their name since those are so commonly used here.

I am just now starting to get to where I know more then 3 or 4 names. I think I have ticked a few people off in the last 2 weeks. I am most of the time super mellow so I am sure alot of people remember me now LOL.

I really tried hard for a LONG time to not pay attention to who said what so if someone said something in one thread I didnt agree with I didn't let it carry over into another thread and not like them there. I read the post first and if I don't like the response and it seems snarky to me I just keep scrolling. If someone says something really nice to me or others I try and take a mental note to remember them as being a nice person.

There are some I know because they keep the same pics and some I know because they mention their situations often (not a bad thing when on a big board) and some I know for their funny names.

And, yeah, only on occassion do I go back to see who may have said something...otherwise, I'm more in it for the read.

Same here. If it is something directed solely at me I may remember, but other than that...nahh..

I like you I think I was shocked when I didn't like something you said in a recent thread, because in general, I dont' remember me disagreeing with you.
But, I'm not one to dislike someone or harp on them on other threads because of opinions... I remember you because of your name of course, and because I asked you before about your vision problem and you were nice enough to answer and not yell at me for asking

I've changed my sig quite a few times....very rarely my avatar, and obviously not my user name (since I now have 2 more kiddos) LOL

I dunno. I generally remember people. Screennames, sigs, avators and what they post.
I rarely remember anyone's tags though. Maybe the print is too small for my old eyes.

lol..I rarely remember tags either. I think they are more for our own enjoyment

Me too. Unless you've been around a long, long time, like some on this thread have, then I tend to remember you. Yet oddly, I never seem to remember disagreements, with only a couple of exceptions. For instance, if I've ever disagreed with anyone who's already posted on this thead...I have no memory of it whatsoever.

Oh yeah, I also tend to remember a few, who, let's say, seem to march to a different drummer. Some of those I admire and others I just find very interesting.
