For those shutterbugs out there who like to bring a larger camera into the parks, what do you do with it on the rides?

I take pictures on rides. If its a ride you can't take pictures on then I just keep the camera between my knees and the strap wrapped around my wrist. If its a wet ride and I still want to take pictures I use a gallon size zip lock type bag. Cut a hole that the lens can fit though and use the lens shade to hold it in place this way the open end of the bag is readily available for me to use the camera normally or zip it up if things get to wet.

I have a cross chest bag that I keep my T3i in along with the lense i'm not using at the time. This bag I usually put in the bag infront of you on the ride.
I have used my Sony Handycam during rides but struggle with the shaking of the ride ruining the ride shot. I am thinking about getting a GoPro Hero3 White for this purpose. Not sure if i'llhand hold it or head strap mount (im used to looking like an idiot) but i'll still keep my hands on that strap during the ride..
I really want to work on getting some good ride videos this upcoming trip..
not sure if that was the question you asked...:) but hope so.
