How do you make a room request?

I'm headed to WDW in a few weeks and wanted to make a request for a specific building (at Coronado springs) - but I don't see any way to make that request in the app when you start early check-in. I only see the possibility to request a room near bus transportation/elevator/ground floor. I know folks regularly make specific building requests - can someone please share how?

You need to call Disney reservations or chat via the website. Or if you have a Touring Plans membership you can submit via their service.

Do not use the Room request piece on WDW inline check-in, and instead call the reservation line and have the CM add it to your reservation.

Thanks all. I forgot I had made the res through undercover tourist - so after calling Disney's reservation line they redirected me to wholesale, who told me to call UCT. UCT did say they put a building request in...I guess we'll see!

When you arrive, go right to the front desk if you can and have a conversation with the cast member. They won't tell you the room location (unless it's actually ready for you to use), but they'll see it. If it's not to your liking, they may (or may not) be able to adjust the reservation to a more favorable room.

I was going to make a room request online but called because I wanted to be in a specific building in the 50s section of Pop and I couldn’t do that online. A cast member allowed me to request the 60s section as my first choice - an option that also wasn’t available online. Though more time consuming (Disney staff people are a chatty bunch) phones calls are worth it.
