How do you like JetBlue?

I've never flown JetBlue before but the fares are looking very good for my next trip. Recently I've flown Delta and Southwest. Both were good experiences. If it matters, there are 4 of us flying-me, my mom, DS (5 yrs.), and my niece (14 yrs.). Can anyone share any experiences they've had with this airline or any advice?
TIA,
Ellen

We love JetBlue! Your kids will too. The TVs are great & the seats comfy. They have a few different snacks (Terra Blue chips!) which are very good. The flight crews are very friendly & professional. We had 1 flight several years ago with mechanical trouble so we were delayed a few hours. We got a credit automatically the next day. Any flight time changes have been minimal. They are our favorite airline.

Welcome! Also, unlike Southwest, you can select your seat when you book. No extra charge for that either unless you do the extra legroom seats. If you can get a good price, I don't think you'll be sorry.

I love JetBlue and always fly it from Seattle to Boston, but would fly it anywhere else if it were direct. Great seats and I also usually buy the extra leg room ones for both the leg room and boarding perks. I have also flown regular coach where the leg room is still pretty good. I love that they serve Dunkin' Donuts coffee in flight. I have heard rumors that they are reducing leg room in some of their flights, so I hope that isn't true.

Jetblue is our go to airline. My fiance and I grumble any time we have to fly anything else.

The television is free and in seat so no using your own device like on Southwest. The standard legroom is the most in coach (even since taking an inch away). Also they have the best free snacks and give you an entire can of soda not just fill a cup for you. Snacks and drinks are unlimited so you can always ask for more.

Also their guest service is spectacular. We usually take between 5 and 10 round trips flights on Jetblue each year and the 2 times we have had bad flight attendants (that is 2 in probably 60 flights) we felt actually heard and not just passified.

One time we were delayed by 4 hours due to mechanical issues and they gave us food vouchers to use at MCO and then made movies free and even gave me my blanket and pillow for free. No of that was required by their passenger bill of rights but their flight attendents said it was the least they could do since we were suppose to leave at 9pm and didn't leave until after 1 am.

Love Jet Blue. Love it far more than any of the legacy US airlines. Sadly, flights for our trip on Jet Blue were triple what we are paying on Southwest. I'm not a huge SW fan, but for the cost I'll deal.

Love them! Love the tvs and the fly fi. This summer we took off a few minutes late due to a maintenance issue so they made the movies free (which made my daughter happy since she had already given me her $5 so I could buy her movie for her). We ended up landing on time anyway.

OH see, we dislike it. We had two really BAD moments of service by their employees, and then my TV was broken (the one in the middle, so I got to watch DS's cartoons or DH's violent movie for the trip) and no one cared at all.

There are other airlines. We take them instead.

We had one bad experience involving a customer of size not fitting in her seat and their original solution was to have my husband take the next flight (um no). Eventually we got it sorted out thanks to a generous fellow passenger who heard us say there was no way I was sitting at Newark airport late at night with two kids and six pieces of luggage waiting two hours for his flight.
We still try to fly them but we live near four airports that they fly out of. Usually their tickets are the same or cheaper than other airlines and the tvs are a nice touch

Have now flown them the last 3 times to WDW from BOS and like flying them a lot. Had an issue the first flight that my Sat Rad was not working at my seat. Not the biggest of deals as I had a iPod w me, but had wanted to listen to a show I knew was on while flying, I mentioned this to the FA and he reset the entire system to see if that would fix it, it did not. On the way back my daughters TV had the color washed out. As we exited the plane I told the woman working the desk for the next flight. She thanked me and asked what seat etc. I put in a service request and they gave me a credit for all of us. We were supposed to fly them another time but had to cancel. When I called to cancel the agent said we would get a credit less $150 a ticket. We were making small talk and I mentioned I was bummed that I had to cancel but my wife had a medical emergency (we had trip insurance) and was going to require surgery in 2 weeks. She then said they would waive the $150 per ticket fee and we would get a credit for the entire amount. All I had to do was give her the doctors name and hospital.

Just wondering what the 2 really bad moments were. Did you email their corporate guest services after? I have had a bad experience on every airline but I judge it based on how corporate response to my complaint and not necessarily how the offending crew deals with it.

Love Jetblue. Aside from the TVs and being able to select your seats, the price is good and the service is also good. We had flights to FL for this coming January. I booked non-refundable but they changed the flight by 15 minutes and allowed me to completely cancel without penalty. I now have a Jetblue credit to use within a year from cancellation date (must book within that year but can actually fly after the year) which was not like my Southwest credit (which they gave you a year from original booking to actually fly) that SW didn't tell me what 1 year meant and I lost the credit. Also never had any major delays or sitting on runway forever incidents (knock on wood).

I like Jetblue! :D Since I live in the NYC area equidistant from JFK/LGA, I have used JFK to go to MCO and other destinations a lot of the time and mainly use Delta and Jetblue, as they both have a lot of flights from JFK and I like both carriers. As far as Jetblue, I like them as they have the best legroom in regular Economy of any U.S. carrier, nice flight attendants, a good IFE system, and a good selection of free snacks. If Jetblue has good times and fares, I would not hesitate to fly with them (and will be on my upcoming January trip from JFK-MCO). Have a magical time! :D

Unfortunately I have a negative: My son decided to join us on a trip to WDW for a concert at $150 per person. I had booked SWA for my daughter and I way ahead. I booked my son on Jet Blue because it was cheaper at the last minute, 2 weeks out, arriving within an hour of our flight. Received a call on the day to leave: Jet Blue cancelled the whole flight and rebooked him for the next day!!!!! No go. Concert was that night. They told me they could get him out of Boston at some point!!! How was he going to get there???? Never again.
Cost me 500$ for a ticket..never received compensation from them. My girlfriend just returned from WDW trip. Flew Jet Blue from PVD-MCO flight delayed 8+ hours...minimal compensation and lost the day. Jet Blue from PVD is a NO GO ever for us with this track record. We warned her.

Did you ask for a refund? If they cancelled the flight, you were certainly entitled to a refund. Or dispute with your credit card at the very least as they did not provide the service you booked. But of course, they won't just issue the refund. You would have to specifically ask.

I fly JB almost exclusively. I like flying with them. Yes, they can change flights, but I usually know about it in plenty of time. If I fly out of either TF Green or Worcester, I know that I could have an issue....there is one flight daily out of Worc, and several out of Green. There may not be any choice if my flight is cancelled or the time changed. If an airline changes your flight time by more than a few hours, they are supposed to issue a credit, if you ask for it. And if cancelled, a full refund is in order.
The only issue I have with JB, and it's not really their issue, is I'm never sure where I'll be flying in or out of when using Worcester. But, that's an airport issue that is being fixed..albeit slowly. I do get taken to, or from, Worcester if there is a change to Boston, or even to Providence. It's just a pain.

But, all in all, I enjoy them. The fares are usually competitive, the staff is good, I still get a snack in flight, and arrivals and departures are close to on-time.

We will fly Jetblue even if the flights are a little more than other options. Love the legroom (we usually upgrade to Even More Space), the choice of snacks and of course the TV in each seat is nice. I have found the crews and the customer service to be nothing but outstanding. Our flight back from MCO was delayed over two hours as the plane had mechanical issues. The captain got on the PA after we boarded and said that they were going to offer all passengers over 21 a free adult beverage and that all movies would be free of charge. Checked my email the next day and we each had a $25 credit for a future flight.

I've flown with Jetblue two trips in a row now and I really like flying with them. I fly out of JFK and the their Terminal 5 is amazing. It's clean and well lit. What I like most is the seat space. I get the regular economy seats and feel very comfortable.

+1 . The only thing I could add to the above is that even their upgrade to Even More Space/Even More Speed (expedited security) is pretty reasonable at $40 pp each way (from our airports...of course, it may be different from other parts of the USA).
