I'm confused :confused3

How do you know which night is formal night & which night is semi-formal night?

We're doing the 7 day Western in October, and were initially planning on skipping the formal dinners (we are not ones for dressing up). But, the more I think about it, I think I might like it afterall.

With that in mind, can someone explain how it works? Does the formal dinner ever happen at Animator's Palate?

Thanks!

Formal/Semi-Formal are on certain days, so whatever restraunant your scheduled for that night is where you go. Hope that helps...

Yes, formal and semi-formal nights can be the nights that you are in Animator's, or Parrot Cay, or of course, Lumiere's. It all depends on your dining rotation.

On the western itinerary, a lot of people like to have the APL rotation because it puts you in Lumiere's for the formal nights, and Parrot Cay for Pirate's Night.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter which restaurant you are in on those evenings because on those particular nights, ALL of the restaurants are serving the same exact foods/menus. The only difference is the ambiance of the restaurant.

On the western cruises semi-formal night is on Monday and formal night is on Thursday, no matter which restaurant you happen to be in on those nights.

Hope this helps :)

**EDITED TO MAKE CORRECTION** Formal night is on Monday, semi-formal is Thursday! Sorry for the error!! :)

Thanks, SeaSpray (fellow Jersey Girl)...that's exactly what I needed to know.

Kim&Chris, If you go to the castawayclub website (.com) they have copies of the daily Navigators (I think the most recent is Nov 2004). This has formal night listed as Monday / first sea day and semi-formal as Thursday / second sea day.

We are leaving Sat for the 7 nt Western & I'll try to post a trip report when we return.
