how do you know when there's free dining?

I'm not sure about the college program but Disney doesn't allow the stacking of discounts so to get free dinning you have to pay rack rate for the room. There may be an exception for the college program but I would not count on it.

You can only use one discount or promotion on a resort or pay rack rates and get the free dining. But for college students may be totally different system.

Disney papers the world with advertisements about free dining. It's also all over their booking website. Plus TV commercials.

You can't combine discounts, so you can't get a cast discount plus free dining. Sometimes, they offer cast discounts on dining plan packages though.

hmm that makes sense haha - about it being on the internet. i suppose since i usually stay off-property i don't pay attention but if i were to get the DCP discount through my friend or free dining, i would have to reconsider

My daughter did the college program and right now is doing the cultural rep program. I 'think' you can only have the dining when they add it for castmembers. I was there in Aug...and they had an addt'l discount on rooms for CM's and families/friends as well as the dining promo. It is offered again now until mid Feb.

Don't think dinng can be added to a CM discounted resort booking any other time?
