Summer is officially over when there is cool, perhaps even cold water in the Cold Water taps in the house.

yes- it is fall when the highes stay in the low 80's and it is in like the 60's at night!

Here you can't really ever count summer out though- I've been known to sport shorts on Christmas Day- and the lovely sweaters only worn for a photograph near the tree while the ac is pushed down to like 60 degrees.

With summer ending it hit me really hard. I actually cried when I saw a pumkin. I don't want summer to end.

I'm going to Florida in Nov. I think I wanted it to stay warm till then. It is suppose to freeze this Saturday in Wisconsin. That is officially the end of summer for me.

That is so true!! I can easily wake up Christmas morning looking toward at 80 degrees!! It will be fun to see what my Christmas will be this year since we will be at WDW! Probably just a more HUMID one....

Officially? When the calendar says its the first day of autumn.

-The end of baseball season and (hopefully) play-off's!
-Having to set the alarm because it is now dark out at 5:30 am.
-A yearning to make apple crisp.
-When 'Beach Path' yankee candle seems wrong on my kitchen table...time for 'Autumn Leaves'.
-When we are finished with dinner by 7:00 pm, instead of just starting.
-Washing the fleece blankets so they can be available for cool evenings.
-Storing away the beach chairs and towels.
-Taking the air conditioners out of the windows.
-The sounds of soccer in the field behind my house.
-My kitties looking for a place to snuggle at night.

And so many more...I like summer but I love fall even more. It's the following one I have such a struggle with.

The air gets cooler (sometimes) my kids head back to school and lastly, my calendar says so!

When the pool has been covered for the season.

When I have to start raking leaves.

When I start getting the Halloween decorations out from the garage.

When I need to wear a light jacket in the mornings.

When I have to say "is your homework done?" twenty times a night.

When I take out my crockpot and make something like beef stew.
