How do you kill time on your travel home day?

And what do you do with your luggage?

Looks like we aren't flying home until about 5:15pm

We were considering Universal, DTD, Sea World. Would it be worth it to do this? I don't want to have like 7 hours at the airport.

You can also go minigolfing in Disney. That's a fun way to spend just over an hour. You could do a meal at AKL and watch the animals for a bit as well.

Have you considered renting a car? That would give you a place to store your luggage all day. It would also allow you some flexibility as to what you decided to go see. I'm not sure I would choose universal or sea world, just because I don't think there's enough time to really take advantage of the news. Disney Springs would be nice, or you might consider going to the space center.

Ive done MCO hyatt. Or get a room at Pop/Allstar for like $130. that way you stay in the disney bubble. You can be there by 930am. of course you can't check in but you can go to the pools and such. adn then head to airport at 2p for your 515 flight.
or Disney Springs. Walk over to Saratoga. Catch bus to epcot. then go on a monorail tour stopping at Contemporary, and polynesian for some Dole Whip and even GF!. Get off at MK. then board the boat back to TTC. Take back to epcot then bus back to Disney springs or SSR.

You can go to Contemporary and rent a pontoon for a couple hours and tour seven seas lagoon!

staying at diseny for a bit prolongs the cruise experience and Disney Bubble!

The Orlando Science Museum is nice for a few hours. They have reciprocal admission with other places, so we had a free visit due to our membership at the Virginia Science Center.

We are having the same problem. Our shuttle is already booked to take us back to the airport so we can drop our luggage there but what to do next? We are considering going to the Florida Mall for the Crayola Experience, Play Park and reasonably priced food.

We always take Magic express, so we never have that much time. What about getting a late breakfast at the whispering canyon or something.

we are in the same boat in october. we don't fly out til after 5pm. i called the hyatt at mco and a day room is $109. we decided to rent a car and do some shopping and go to city walk and have lunch at toothsome. (we also found out we cannot check our bags in at the airport in the morning, it's too early) have a great time whatever you decide!

Renting a car is the best option. When I cruised with my mom (in her 80's) I wanted the easiest way to go to Disney to kill time before our late flight. We took DCL transfers with Onboard Airline Check in so they took our bags the night before. Took the DCL bus to MCO and picked up our small (only needed a small car since no luggage) rental I had pre reserved and drove to Disney for the day. We visited Downtown Disney and then had a late lunch at the Polynesian. So much easier that way than having her stand and wait with me for the shuttle from the port to a local rental office. The car rental was only about $40 from MCO for the day. I didn't mind paying the $70 for one-way transfers to MCO. It was so worth it not to have our bags to worry about. Of course you have to have a flight that fits the parameters of the Onboard Airline Check-In Program.

We rent a car. Disney Springs, resort hopping (Poly,Contemporary, Grand F) Trader Sam's, wandering and meandering around Cocoa Beach, Ron Jon's. We get to airport early for dinner and any sort of massive security lines that may be waiting for us. Always plenty to fill the day

I ran into the same problem.....woke up at 7AM, got packed washed up and ready out the door by 7:45AM, said final goodbye to room attendant and gave tip in person, made it to Animators Palette by 8AM, finished breakfast by 8:45AM and off the ship, 9:15AM past customs, on bus by 9:30AM, at MCO by 10:20am for a 1:58PM flight.......so we had a TON of time to kill at the airport and it was boring watching people board planes at the gates.

My initial worry was the bus wouldn't get us there on time but given how many buses they run and the fact we were already checked in and have Pre-check we breezed through the whole thing.

We called Universal and they said they would store our luggage for us. We have to enter through city walk and and go to guest services. I think we are going to just do one park, the one with diagon alley. We really really want to see the harry potter stuff.

Has anyone ever stored luggage at universal? I would hate to get there and be told they don't do that. That would be pretty terrible

How about booking a room at one of the Universal hotels and spend the night there, thus allowing you to have a full day and night at the park. Fly home the next day, perhaps at an earlier, more convenient time for you?

Dang, this is making me want to try an early flight...

We rented a car and spent the morning at Disney Springs.

If you're flying home on a participating airline (not SWA) you can check your luggage your last night on the ship and it will magically appear at your home airport. Then you won't have to wrestle with luggage except for carry-on bags.

Meanwhile, when we've flown SWA as an extended family and couldn't check luggage for a few hours, we've killed time at the airport by building a corral (large playpen) out of luggage so the little kids could run around. We've also played cards. And read. And watched videos on the lap top. And wished we had an earlier flight.
