How do you kill time on your travel home day?

If you're flying home on a participating airline (not SWA) you can check your luggage your last night on the ship and it will magically appear at your home airport. Then you won't have to wrestle with luggage except for carry-on bags.

I think you have to be taking DCL transfers to the airport to do this though... I always am and just hang at the airport with my nook - but I'm weird and don't mind quiet downtime and would rather be there and have time to chill than be that person yelling that everyone needs to let me cut in front of them at security to make a flight.

We rented a car and spent the morning at Disney Springs.

This is what we are doing after getting off the Fantasy this Fall. Our flight is not until 4:30pm so we booked a rental car ($45) and will just head to Disney Springs for a few hours before going over to MCO.

Have you considered renting a car? That would give you a place to store your luggage all day. It would also allow you some flexibility as to what you decided to go see. I'm not sure I would choose universal or sea world, just because I don't think there's enough time to really take advantage of the news. Disney Springs would be nice, or you might consider going to the space center.

This is a fantastic idea! We'll most likely be on a red-eye after our WBPC which means 12 hours of waiting. A rental car would hold the luggage and allow us to go site seeing! Off to look up fun cheap and free things to do in San Diego.

We had a later flight- after 9pm. We rented a car and went first to Disney springs to do the Void Star Wars VR and have lunch/shop. Then went to mini golf at Winter Summerland. Then went to the Polynesian (parked at MK and took monorail) to get a dole whip and rode the ferry on the loop and got off at the GF. Explored both of those resorts a little. They let us park for free since it was later in the day. From there took the monorail back to parking and headed to the airport. A great last day!

Another vote for renting a car and having the freedom to do whatever you feel like that day. I have family in Orlando so we purposely book a late flight and spend our day visiting.

If they were unavailable, I'd be doing Disney Springs or resort hopping. There is lots of "free" stuff to do on Walt Disney World property without needing park tickets. I'd forgotten about the Dole Whips at the Poly. I need to remember that when we are there for our October cruise! We also love to visit the animals and buy zebra domes at AKL.
