How do you keep track of your park pass?

Be patient with me (WDW first-timer) and give me some tips on how you keep track of your PHP so it doesn't get lost during the trip. I am especially worried about my kids loosing theirs and then not having it available to use fast pass. If I hold them all and then we split up they wouldn't have it to use. Is there some kind of thing you can put around your neck to put it in so it is available when you need it for fast pass without rummaging through a fanny pack?

I keep them all together in a small card holder, then I put it in my pants back pocket and button it. I never hand them to the kids, not even for park entry, and I am the one who get the fastpasses for everyone. Using the card holder, I can also keep the fastpasses in it. Frequently we have fastpasses for 2 attractions at the same time, that is a lot of little pieces of paper and plastic cards, so I needed a place to keep them all together.
I never walk around with the tickets or fastpasses in my hand, to avoid dropping them, and only take them out from my pocket to use them.

I carry the passes in my fanny pack. We usually stay together since there are only three of us. I get the fastpasses for all of us while my husband and son are riding or getting in line.

I carry the park tickets for our whole family in my fanny pack. I get all the fastpasses, and my DH always reminds me (I told him to do this) to double-check that I have put them back. I keep the tickets in their own compartment in the fanny pack. The only other thing I put in there is any pending fastpasses. We go to extremes being cautious with our tickets, because on one trip I saw someone's tickets lying on top of a fastpass machine. It would be terrible to lose something as valuable as your park tickets that way.

We rarely split up, but when we do I still don't let my kids carry their passes.

In our 3 visits to the parks in the past 6 weeks, I have found someone's park pass in the fastpass machines 3 times (I hand them over to a CM.)

We keep ours in our digital camera case, which is always attached to either DH or myself at all times.

Definitely copy the fronts and backs of the passes before you leave and keep that in your hotel room. If, in the worst case, the passes get lost, you can get it cancelled and get another one issued for you. As for splitting up and not having the passes, depending on the age of the kids, maybe not letting them carry the passes would be best. Personally, we are all adults, but we carry the passes together so that one will not get lost. I have seen numerous passes in the machines and if I am paying that much money for my pass, I do not want to risk losing it. I keep mine in the sleeve that originally came with my AP. I have read of people who use the picture holders for the passes so that they stay dry in the fannypacks and thought that was a good idea.

I spring $.97 each for a plastic ziploc lanyard ID holder at WalMart, and we wear them around our necks. That way, the pass is in plain sight at all times, protected from sweating and splashing, and handy for FP. (Tyvek passes don't get ruined if they get wet, but if they are wet and limp you can't get them into a FP machine properly.)

I actually replace the cord that comes on the ID holder with a colored shoelace and spring toggle, w/ a different color for each person in the party. Looks nicer, it's adjustable for length, and we can keep straight which pass belongs to which person (important for us, b/c we re-use passes for multiple trips.)

I got a ticket holder that pins to your shirt at MK. It has the characters on top and the sleeve is clear plastic so you can see whats in it and I put my FP in there as well. I also got a Passporter Pouch which also goes around the next and has a zipper compartment, a clear window compartment and a deep pocket like to put a small wallet or something. I just got this last year and used it DL and it also worked very well. WalMart and Target have the lanyards and WalMart also has the waterproof containers that go around your neck that you can swim with and put credit cards, passes and $. I found those in the pool section at WalMart during one summer when I went to DW by myself, I still have it and use it anytime I go to a pool and it keeps everything very dry and convenient. And, ALWAYS MAKE COPIES OF YOUR PASSES!! Hope this helps.

We keep them all together in the front zippered compartment of my camera bag. There is an elastic strap in there that holds them in place, so they are easy to grab and don't fall out when I open the zipper.

I've got a plastic ziplock carrying case for my lanyard as well. It makes things much more easy when you're going for a FP.

I use the Passporter Pouch. I put my AP in the front and I love the FP sized pocket on the back. I am generally the FP runner, and will hold the FP for the attraction in this special pocket. I like the zipper pocket for $, and the velcro pocket for Reward Cards and other cards. I usually put my room ID in a back pocket of the Passholder, because CMs have told me it can demagnetize passes.

I think DISers have found cheaper pass holders at www.nutztogo.com People do often stop me and ask where I got my Passholder pouch.

I wear "cargo" type shorts and keep everyone's passes in one of the button pockets. The kids have access only when going through the entrance and then return them to me immediately. It's easier for one person to carry everyone's for fast pass purposes.

I want to thank everyone for the awesome ideas. I knew to make copies of the ticket and I will! Due to your comments I have decided I will be the designated ticket holder for everyone. It will be much simpler that way. For those of you who have a passporter pouch, where did you get it? Also, the nutztogo.com website had some good products I will consider, especially the water holder thing. That will be great for the water parks. Thanks to all of you for your recommendations. I'll be able to figure out something now.
