Thanks gang. We tried a few methods, including inking with a brayer, inking with a pad, chalking, sanding. Even with a shim under part of it, the lettering didn't come out clear on the fuzzy part. Then, I broke the embossing template. Chucked it in the trash.
Found the linoleum block dh had carved when we were first married, the second time. He wants to use that. OK, then. Oddly enough, if I ink that, and lay it face up with the paper on top of it, it rolls through the revolution just fine, and I get a nice clear print. So, I guess that's the method of choice this year. Thanks again.
