How do you handle other guests that are rude?

There was a woman berating a CM at the counter in Club Cool one day as I was waiting to buy a frozen coke. I don't remember the gist of the conversation but it was something about charging credit cards. The customer was beyond in the wrong and after totally dressing down the CM she stormed off claiming she was going to get her fired. I smiled at the CM and told her she had done nothing wrong and that I was heading directly to guest services to lodge a compliment over how well she handled that loon. The Cm thanked me, noted my birthday button and gave me a slushy for free.

if it affects me personally I stand up for myself, I dont let line cutters past me, if a space invaders tries to squeeze in and shoves me they get shoved back, etc etc. Basically I treat people the same way they treat me.

Anything else is just not my business. Obviously if I see something not right I will alert a CM, thats part of their job, to deal with issues and problems.

Yeah I can get quite the hall monitor personality sometimes and try to be helpful, "oh you aren't going to be able to stay there when the parade comes." My DH helped me remember it wasn't my job to do that, if someone wasn't bothering us then leave it to a CM. That is hard for me to do because I care about people even strangers and I see these little kids and their mom doesn't know better and then they will miss out. But yeah it really isn't any of my business and why am I taking on their stress. I will remember that this trip.

I read about the child urinating in line for FOP and I had to tell this from our June trip. My 3 year old son had just begun potty training, but I was still putting him in a pull up since he was off schedule and didn't have a "routine" during the trip. So, as we are standing at the boat launch at HS, I turned to talk to my bf while my son is watching the fish in the water, look back over and he has his pants down peeing in the water. I was mortified to say the least. We were the only ones on the dock at the moment but just so happens that another group was walking down to the dock at the time and saw him. I apologized profusely to them, but they just laughed and went about their day. In retrospect, it's a story I will tell him as he grows up, but at the moment was embarrassing to say the least.

He's gonna love that story in high school!! LOL. Did you get a pic for his senior open house board? I'm sure you didn't, but it would be AWESOME!

No, I didn't get a video or picture. I had my phone in my pocket and was just trying to "handle" the situation best I can. I never understand how the parents who get these videos of their kids up so fast to catch it on their phones when by the time I get mine out and to video, he's no longer doing what I wanted to video! LOL

I don't know.
I will search the forum and try and find where I have read it.
But it was specifically on the FOP discussions.
I could be wrong, but it was said that there's a bathroom somewhere right in or near the ride that you can be escorted to?

Like I said, I'll try and verify.
Don't want to state this as fact and mislead.

I can confirm we were given "potty passes" at ROL, not sure about rides

My girlfriend and I had a bit of an experience Thursday at Epcot. We waited at a table along the fencing in the Mexico QSR area. We bought food, drink, consumed it and camped out for another 20 or so minutes for IllumiNations. When the show started we stood up and actually ended up standing a few rows back because people filled in around us. No big deal. This one table though, right in the center, had two women sitting during the show. I think they arrived about 15 minutes prior, but I wasn't paying very close attention. As soon as we all stood to watch, they started calling out to people. "Excuse me! Excuse me! We can't see!", to which the crowd, and myself, mostly ignored. Eventually they got up and loudly proclaimed they were "out of here!" but then started tried to push through the crowd, complaining that we were rude to block their view. It boggled my mind, we waited for our spots and shared them with people that arrived to stand when the show began and these two got in our faces during the show. Eventually my girlfriend gave them a pretty loud shush and they stood to the side, grumbling out loud for the rest of the show.

I'm still not sure how they thought sitting that far back and arriving so close to the show when we waited entitled them to a view, and when they finally stood, they were still pretty close, and should have had an excellent view regardless. I admit I thought about putting them on the spot and pointing out the entire park was standing for the show and it was ridiculous to think they were special, but I bit my tongue and enjoyed our last night at the park.

Seems to be a lot of this lately... have posted about a similar experience at HEA. The parade/firework times are always heightened tensions in the crowds.. but seems there are a lot of people who just don't know how Disney 'works'... yes, people are sitting in their spots resting until it's time for the show, but some think it's going to stay that way and they have secured some kind of awesome relaxed place to watch... until everyone else stands up for the show and they fly in to a rage about everyone else being rude, when they were the ones with incorrect assumptions.
