I can book a trip and have a whole itinerary together in a few hours. How is it that you guys and gals are able to drag out your vacation planning longer than a day?

I just Keep DISing to see if any late breaking news needs to be addressed about our trip.

I also have 3 trips booked right now so that helps .

I also like looking up info to help other DISsers as well.

I just did a Local.Live mapping of all the parks and resorts as well.

I can drag it out, because I'm so good at doing it :teeth:

It's like wrapping the Christmas presents and waiting for Christmas morning. There are 2 ways for opening gifts:

1) Watch everyone tear into the packages without stopping and admiring the packaging, and
2) Make everyone open one at a time, slowly, taking turns and enjoying the effort that went into buying the gift and wrapping it.

I am the second Christmas. I enjoy the planning and executing so much that I savor every moment. The vacation itself, like Christmas day, comes and goes so quickly. Why not hold on to it as long as possible? That's really the feeling that lasts. :thumbsup2

It seems to come naturally. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm a planner, so I enjoy researching/reading up on things. Even though I've been to WDW several times, this is our first Holiday trip, so there are lots of new things to see.

I also scrapbook, so once I'm home, I then get to relive the trip while working on my pages.

Well, our upcoming December trip has been "planned" since July. We booked our package and within a week had chosen restaurants and made our ADRs. I also mapped out where we'd be going each day and what extra things we wanted to do. So far, very little of that has changed. But by reading DIS almost everyday, I've discovered a few things I didn't know about. Nothing has made me change the basic framework of the trip, but I've been making a list of things to do and various tips. I've also started a packing list based on things I've read here. So, the basic planning was done long ago but I can still learn tons of useful stuff! :)

You can never do to much research. It takes a while to decide where you are gonna eat and to make your ADR's. They have to fit with your schedule. I guess it depends on the way you plan to tour. Are you going to go 'commando' or take it easy. With enough planning, you can take it easy and still get everything in. Have fun!!!

Easily, we keep changing our minds, DISing and finding new things we want to do, or avoid. We second guess ourselves, then go back to our original plan, then change it again. We decide to upgrade to a moderate then decide to go back to a Value...

We just keep changing our minds. Thankfully, our next trip isn't until next november and I haven't put the deposit down yet. I will though, very soon. The only thing we have NOT changed our minds about is that we ARE going!!
