Just wondering how you all get these pin codes and if they are only available to disney Visa card holders? Thanks sorry if this is a silly question

My brother in law got one via snail mail and he does not have an account with Disney, but does have one with ESPN.com.

You do not need a Disney visa. It is all luck of the draw. I have zero luck, so I never get them.

All of the above, plus if you've been there before, because I get emails that say stuff like "since you've been here before, we want to make it easy for you to come back..."

I book always through central reservations myself and I always go on the Disney website and request the free planning DVD. I make all ADR's through their website. So you want to make sure they have both your email and your address and when you book through them they also have your phone number, so they could have PINS through emails, through the mail and some people call them to see if they have any associated with them.

I had made ADRs online just in case we did book, had looked at packages over and over to price them out for a few weeks and had previously ordered the planning videos. Next thing I knew, we got a free dining pin in the mail! When I called to book, the lady told me she could see that I had priced packages in the website about 10 times over the past few weeks. Not sure if that planning activity triggered it or if it was just good luck!!

As others have said, there's not rhyme or reason as to who gets PINs and who doesn't, but ordering the DVD, making sure your email/home address is in the Disney system, etc. will help. Even though doing all of that is no guarantee, there's always a possibility to get one ;).

So luck of the draw~! I did read on here that some people were still getting them yesterday even! I am still crossing my fingers!

I have not gotten one with the 3 emails registered w Disney in 6 years! :confused3. We go twice a year and are some years, we are AP holders! Do you think they (marketing) go by zip codes, because I live in a very expensive zip code ( however we are the working class that service the uber rich of the zip code)? I have tried ordering planning DVDs, saving vacation plans, double and triple check every month that all three emails are registered with the CM on the phone and nothing! My father who went once 4 years ago gets them often, but he will never go again!

It seems like if you go often that they do not send you a pin because they figure you go anyway :(

My friend goes every year and still gets every PIN out there.

When did you get it?

As has been said earlier in this thread and in countless other threads, none of us knows how you are chosen to receive a PIN. Only the keepers of the Great Disney Marketing Machine know who the chosen few are.

If they know who you are you might get a PIN...you might not.
