How do you get one of these "codes"

Do I have to already be booked and then just keep calling & checking to see if I have one? We are going to our second visit to WDW in February 2009.

If only we knew the magical system that Disney uses to pick and chose who gets a code. Nobody but the execs at Disney know for sure. But it doesn't hurt to try calling and see if you have a code attached to your name. However, I will warn you that depending on who you get on the phone...let's just say that some CMs are more friendly about those calls than others.

As a pp said you can get some downright nasty Cms if you call everyday.Just make sure you are signed up for emails and that Disney has your correct address.I have called every few days to check to see i have a pin code

Try ordering the trip planning DVD. That sometimes will spark a code.

I just tried calling and was told they can't look to see if there is a PIN attached to your name anymore.

No news there...they have told me that for weeks.Maybe they keep track on how often I Called and now I'm on the "do not answer list"

I called and had a pin attached to my name. I was searching for dates and saving trip itinerarys on the disney website for the past few months, that could be why I got a code? But I never got an email or mailing.

Why are there nasty CMs?

I have had experience with some not so nice CMs, some who didn't know anything, and some who were really nice and knew so much.

Twice I called and got two different guys and both of them knew what I was asking for, and looked for me. Not to mention they were really talkative while their computers did their thing.

I once got a CM that musta been a used car saleswoman once. She pressured me so much to book a trip, add DDP, water parks, park hopping, upgrade to a deluxe resort. My goodness. I never experienced that before!
