Our luggage tags did not arrive. I just called WDW to ask if we are on the list and was told that our reservation shows we requested ME but our flight information was missing. The cast member told me to pick our luggage up and take it to the ME information desk on Side B. We land on Side A. How do we pick up our luggage and get to Side B?

Terminals A & B are in the same complex, but on either side. They are joined by a mall/shopping area. Simply follow the signs to find your way, it is a fairly short distance between them. Here is a map that should help:http://www.orlandoairports.net/ops/images/maps/wayfinding_maps.pdf

You don't take the train/mono-rail to move from terminals A/B. The train connects the terminals (A&B) to the four "Airside" terminals where the gates are located. After you land you will take the train to get to the main complex. It is sometimes referred to the first "ride" you take in Orlando.

The one thing to be aware of is that A side and B side attach only at the main shopping level (level 3; okay I'm pretty sure of this but stand to be corrected). So you'll go down a level to collect your baggage at the A side carousel, then back up and across before going down 2 levels to level 1 on the B-side where DME is located.

You are correct, at baggage claim you have to do back to the departures level to get to the other side.

I think you can also give your baggage claim tags to the DME counter when you get there and they will send someone to use those to grab your bags for you.

I've done this a few times. As long as you've cleared US customs at the Canadian airport (like Pearson) or if you're flying out of a US border town, you won't need to pick up your luggage upon arrival at the Orlando airport. Head straight for the Magical Express desk and give them your bag tags (those little stickers they give you after they tag your bags when you checked them in at the departing airport). They used to also ask for a physical description of the bag by showing you pictures of different styles of bags as well (not sure if they still do this). It doesn't hurt to have a name tag clearly visible on your bags to make them easier to identify for the bag picker. I've never had a problem with this method.
