How do you get a pin??

I'm a Disney Rewards Visa member - is that how you get a pin? Although haven't used the card yet. I see posts about pins. Waiting to book, thanks.

Pins are given out randomly.

PINS tend to go out to folks if they do something like go to WDW one year, but don't book a return trip the next, or the following year. Disney offers them a PIN as a way yo lure them back. You don't tend to get PINs if you currently have a trip booked.

There is also a chance of getting aPIN offer if you price outa WDW vacation, but don't book it, and also if you sign up for all of WDW's email promo memberships...

I should also add, not all PIN offers are the same. Some PIN offers are smaller than publicly offered discounts. Others are the same as publicly offered discounts, just offered a little bit earlier.

Have you ordered your 2013 Planning DVD yet? That's a great way to let the system know you're interested.

Make sure you have at least one email address registered at the main WDW website, and that you have opted in to receive marketing and promotional materials.

Pins appear to be random, yes, but they also seem to appear more frequently when you've taken positive action to (a) frame a set of dates, (b) investigate specific resorts, and (c) ordered a current-year DVD.
