How do you fire your realtor?

We listed our house with this agent, who came highly recommended, 1 month ago. I tried to call her , left 2 messages, sent a text and I finally caught her on the phone 2 weeks later. She called me Friday because someone wanted to see my house. Tried to call her, left message friday, sent a text on Sat, and no reply. I want someone who will communicate with me. So how do I tell her I dont want her anymore? I want an agent who will work with me.

You have a contract with the real estate company so while you can't get out of the contract you have several options.
1. Remove the house from the market until the contract is up
2. Go speak to the owner/manager of the agency and ask that another salesperson be assigned. Be sure to clearly state the reasons you want a change because often the company is reluctant to do this. It takes a lot to remove a salesperson from the listing.

Your listing contract should clearly state how you can cancel it and what penalties, if any, there are.

Visit the real estate office and demand to speak with the Broker. Explain to the Broker that you are unhappy with the fact that your realtor is so hard to get a hold of and you are upset that there was a potential buyer for your home and yet the realtor blew you off.
Tell the Broker that you will be breaking the contract due to all these problems.
