How do you feel about personalized shirts?

In regards to putting your childs name on it? Do you think its a safety issue or not? If you put your childs name on a disney shirt do they wear it when they are home?? I have a friend who believes its dangerous . If I make a shirt for my son with his name on it I know he'll want to wear it even after disney. What do you think?

There was a thread recently about personalization, so if you do a search that might come up. If your child is older, he should know enough not to go anywhere with strangers, whether they know his name or not. A younger child (toddler age) - generally anyone within a 3 block radius will know your child's name anyway from you constantly having to remind them to do things...plus with a younger child, you would know to keep a much closer eye on them and not let them go running off.

My long response short: I think personalization is fine - I'm all for it.

I don't put my girls name on anything that a stranger would see. Even in their backpacks their info is on the inside in case it gets lost at school or on the bus.

I don't have any problem with it.

Anyone who stands next to us for 5 minutes, will hear my kids' names anyway.

I love personalization, but I make sure that DD7 is with me when she's wearing it. Personalized shirts for Disney (such as you can find on the Creative DISigns thread) are awesome! But things like a backpack that any stranger could see when you're not with your child, I say no to those.

Thats pretty much how I feel. The shirt I think is fine because dd2 and ds5 are not going to be farther than an arms reach away from me. Now, backpacks I am against

I don't think it makes any difference. I like them.
