I have been on a quest to figure out exactly how many licks it does take to get to the center of a tootsie pop...but alas..I have not the will power to discover this sweet mystery.

I start off with licking/sucking and then I can't help myself and I bite it and then, of course, I chew it.

For the record I love the chocolate ones and the raspberry ones the best.

Chocolate only and as most others suck ,then when gets thin I bite and chew the rest. Most of the times I go ahead and eat the top of the paper stick as well. I'm not sure why maybe it's because it still taste like the chocolate.

Careful biting into them too soon...I've heard that they can dislocate the jaw.

I LOVE raspberry. The blue raspberry is good, too. Chocolate are next in line. I don't like the cherry ones at all. My head is still hurting some, but I can't take meds until late tonight since I'm at my 24 hour limit.

LOL Clair

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I just know I can't have a pop of any kind in public. :confused3

And cherry is my all time favorite.

:rotfl: Love it! And how do you get your link to show up with the words and not a regular looking URL? :scratchin

When you hit the 'Insert Link' botton and type the URL of the link into it, it inserts it in brackets (the real link) followed by the same text (what will show in the message). Just change that 2nd text into whatever you want the link to say!

For example, here is a link to a bunch of live Tootsie Roll ads by Pinky Lee and Paul Winchell from their kiddie shows...

I think I have to practice that when I'm feeling better. :rotfl:

I'm a sucker all the way. I like when it get's just the thinninst bit around the tootsie roll, and the candy 'cracks'. Raspberry is me favorite, followed closely by grape. I detest the Chocolate one. I'd rather have Godiva;)

I suck. There is a little licking involved, when my mouth is watering...like to let the flavor kind of fill my mouth...but it is mostly a sucking thing. Kinda twist it back and forth, too - it gets unevenly worn if you don't.

There is no biting. When I get near the actual Tootsie, I start grossing out and pull the thing out of my mouth and toss it. Not a Tootsie Roll fan. But I like the sucker part!!!

A Blow-pop, though, I will suck all the way to the gum and then start chewing it. No part of the Blow-pop is ever wasted. Yum.

Much prefer a Blow-pop to a Tootsie-pop.

I agree. A chocolate Tootsie Pop imparts no aesthetic value, and is an exercise in redundancy. :snooty:

I woke up from my nap and am off to find a grape one. I haven't had one of those in years. Maybe I'll find a new favorite. I don't like the orange ones since I don't think that orange and chocolate go so well together.

Garbanzo, I can't comment on your post. :rotfl:

Luv, totally unrelated to suckers, but we went to Moes on Friday coming back from Universal and had gone to a different one on the way down. I think of you every time I go there, which isn't often since we don't have one close. To clarify, I think of you often, I just don't go to Moes often. :rotfl2:

Welcome to Moe's!!!

I love Tootsie Pops. I have to chew them. I can't stand to have something hard in my mouth and not chew. I like when it all mixes together. Now I'm off to the store to get that sucker and a Reese's cup with banana. So much for dinner.

Welcome to Moe's!!!
 Love that place!

Mellow, I'm not touching your post... ;)

OK, I think that grape and raspberry are tied for first place. I can't believe I haven't been eating the grape--they're good. I'll have chocolate later.

Lick it twice then bite it! I love the middle. But the middle isn't the same without the outside.

See, and I prefer a blow pop....now that's good. I suck it till the chewy center is reveled and then chomp away.....best of all worlds!
