How do *you* do USF in the rain?

Looking ahead to next week, there seems to be a bit of rain in the forecast...LOL! I know it's Florida and I know it rains. We'll be prepared with ponchos for the parks, but are hoping for enough bright sunshine to enjoy the pools (DD loves to swim almost as much as she loves rides). What are you tips and suggestions for rainy days at UOR? Just hoping it's not a washout on the one day we have EP for, as the lower crowds may make the money spent a waste. Oh well, it'll be what it'll be!

Probably mostly matters for Hulk / RRR as getting pelted with rain at high speed isn't a super lot of fun. Otherwise, enjoy the lower crowds ;)

I wear the same quick dry clothes I wear for water rides then I don't worry about dodging raindrops.

Rainy days are the best. We just hoof it in our ponchos, quick dry clothes, and Keen sandals or surf sneakers. Most of the rides stay open, esp if it's just a little rain and not a storm. The worst part is being wet in the a/c, so we tend to stay outdoors. But we've never been there during a big downpour.

I’d just put the poncho on and stick to inside rides. Also I wear crocs or other types of sandals. Nothing worse than squishing around in wet socks and shoes.

Also, if you can hit a nice leisurely lunch during a passing shower, it's lovely watching all the wet people scurry out of the park & leave it much emptier for later...

There are a lot of places to stay indoors. Most of the queues are long enough to keep indoors, there are shows you can go into, as well as restaurants to escape to as well.

Outside rides will close if there is thunder / lightning in the area. I do not know the distance it has to be within the park. However, it's not as if once it's on top things will close, things will start closing before the storm hits.

I suggest having a zip lock bag for electronics. Whether you have a poncho, umbrella, or nothing, things can still get wet and to ensure that things keep dry, if I feel like I'm going on a water ride, or the weather seems unpredictable I bring a zip lock.

We usually just get wet unless it is really coming down. We have ponchos but rarely use them. After years of going to central fla we know the showers are usually short lived, so we may go get something to eat.

If we are there during a hurricane time, and there are bands being blown around freq, we will do the poncho, but other than that, we just keep going and usually enjoy lighter crowds. I love to watch the people flowing out of the parks around mid day.

In the 30 something years we have been going, I can only remember actually having to leave one time. It was raining so hard, I was getting water up my nose.
