How do you decorate a door?

I don't mean what type of decorations - can you tell me how to put them up? Is the door metal, so we can use a magnet? Do you tie things to the door, or tape them on?

I've read about and seen pictures of some door markings, and we want to give it a try to help out family members on an upcoming cruise. Does DCL frown on it? I was hoping to somehow put up a family picture on the cabin door. Thanks!

Now that I think about it, I would also like to hear about door decorations. Anything special anyone has done?

Do not use tape....nothing worse than trying to clean adhesive residue off doors...the cabin stewards have enough to do each day!!!

The cabin doors are metal so any type of magnet would work best!!!

Go back a few pages on this board. There were a few recent threads that had pictures of what some people have done as well as some other ideas.

i hope this 2 links i add help in ideas for door magnets.door magnet #1 door magnet #2 both of these pictures will be printed on magnetic paper and put on my stateroom door. i got the idea from verandahman. and he has been a great help. i also hope this helps you with ideas for your stateroom door

What program did you use to create these? My twins will have a birthday the second day of the cruise and I would love to put up a sign wishing them a Happy Birthday.
