DH and I are talking about dining at Palos one night. But which night? What do we give up?
Maybe dine there on formal night if we are assigned Parrot Cay that night.
Do you decide ahead of time which night? or wait till you know which night you are assigned which restaurant?

We took the 4 night cruise back in November and booked Palo's for the last night. That way we were guaranteed to get to all of the other 3 dinner locations. It worked fine for us and Palo's is a place that shouldn't be missed.

When we took the 7 day in Oct, we chose Monday night for Palos. We ended up having a GREAT server and a GREAT time. But we missed Cest Magique. We won't make that mistake again. We have a 2 yr old, and were able to guess that we would have APLAPLA. Which we did. So, next time, we will choose Tuesday night, miss the tropical dinner and if dinner runs late, we only miss part of the tropical party which runs late so it won't be any big deal. (we did not want to double dip, but that is always an option)

The other option is that if you have an early dinner rotation, go to the 6 pm show, then make dinner reservations for 8:00 and you won't miss any shows.

We fed DD at Plutos and took her to the Reef at 6:00pm.

Palos was one of our favorite parts of the cruise!

I alway's have a tough time with this one too. We have booked Palo's 3 times and have cancelled 3 times. We have alway's liked our seat mates and look forward to dining with them. Maybe we will make it to Palo's for cruise # 4.

This past cruise, we took a look at all the menus posted on Barb's web site, and picked out Palo night based on our least favorite dinner night (which for us happened to be Parrot Cay). It took some last minute thinking when we got to the terminal after finding out what our rotation was and what night that least-favorite dinner fell on. But--it was well worth it!

We also ended up not eating at Parrot Cay. We took the children for dinner there, while my husband and I just had something light (a bowl of fruit). The waiter said we made a good choice; Parrot Cay was his least favorite restaurant. The other restaurants had some sort of entertainment, but at Parrot Cay we did not miss any sort of entertainment.

We had chosen the last night of our cruise(4 Day) and that gave the kids who are 7 and 11 enough time to decide where they we comfortable to eat, too. THey chose to goback to Parrot Cay, our rotation place, since they loved our servers so much. They debated about room service, too but didn't want to miss their last night with Valentine and Lazlo!!! Then we all met at the theater for the last show. We ate at Palo's at 6:15, enough time to get them settled, go up to Palo's, and have 2 hours for a meal. It was perfect! Do not skip Palo's!!!

My hubby, sis-in-law, brother, and myself went to dinner with kids, had an appetizer, drinks , then we headed to Palo's later. However, I would not eat anything before going there, because you need to enjoy all their great food. I love their brunch. Our last cruise, we skipped night at Palos and went to brunch twice.
