How do you deal with all the wet rides?

I read somewhere that the park has a lot of rides where you get wet. How do you deal with kids in wet clothes? I'm not sure I want to lug around a bag of spare clothes all day.
:D

What time of year are you going? We went in July so walking around in wet clothes actually didn't feel too bad. My boys wore bathing suits (they look like shorts!) with t-shirts and I brought each boy one extra. My dd wore quick drying nylon shorts (similar to jogging shorts) and a t-shirt with a bathing suit underneath. The bathing suits came in handy with the water gun fights and the water play areas of the parks.

We approached it from two different methods this last time around. My daughter wore her bathing suit with a pair of shorts. My wife put on her poncho and remained very dry. I toughed it out and stayed in my street clothes. I dried off in about three hours ( 95 degrees). The smart thing to do would be to keep a set of dry clothes in a locker, available at the entrance to the park or next to the Comic Strip Cafe $ 2.00 for an Hour ( I think ) and change in the bathroom after the rides. For shoes and Socks Popeye's and Bluto's Bilge raft barges has a storage areas in the raft the keeps things pretty dry. Here is my degree of wetness scale.

Popeyes and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges - -- Super Soaker
Dudley Do Rights Ripsaw Falls - ------------Soaker
Jurasic Park River Adventure - ---------------First couple of Rows - Soaker
-------------------------------------- Back Rows --- Sprinkle
One Fish, Two Fish------------------------ Sprinkle to Soaker
Posiedens Fury----------------------------- Sprinkle

If you have Teva-type sandals you don't have to worry about wet socks!

Patch is right - if you want to stay dry the poncho's work great!

We deal with it by planning a wet day or actually half day. I always were a poncho and still get plenty wet. On Popeye when the water comes over the side you'll get wet if you're vacuum sealed! After we do the wet rides we return to the hotel or pool hop. Even with planning I've bought more towels and dry t-shirts than I care to remember.

Hmmm, seems like bathing suit/shorts combo with a spare t-shirt for all is the way to go. Altho' that might be kind of hot for DD, wearing a swim suit under a t-shirt. Do some little girls just wear a 1 piece suit and shorts? We'll be there in August.

So that's why I have more Universal towels than regular towels at home!!!

I use a poncho much of the time and it normally really makes a difference. I don't like to walk around wet. My wife thinks I look ridiculous, but to me its worth it.:sunny:

Just make sure the shorts are those lightweight kind/mesh that can dry pretty quick and you should be fine. Wet sneakers are another story. I've always brought two pairs for everyone in the family. That way, if one pair gets soaked, you can use the other pair. I've found the hairdryer in the room works ok to dry out sneaks.......or put them near the ac vent.

There are plenty of girls walking around with bathing suit tops. I wanted my dd to wear a t-shirt to give her a little more protection from the sun. Sometimes she just had on her one-peice with a pair of shorts. I used Bullfrog SPF 30 and had good luck keeping the kids from getting too sunburnt.
