How do you consolidate 3 bookings at same resort?

Our original booking is 8/24-8/31 at Sports, called cm to ask for 2 day extension 8/31-9/1. She said no availability, so we booked Sports via Travelocity (there's a 15% offer), but had to book 8/31 and 9/1 separately... so now we have 3 bookings for same resort. Ive heard that guests aren't in resort system until 10 days out to allow for cancellations. If I call resort then or wait until check in and request to keep same room: do I prevent the need to
1) mess with magicbands for new room key when it expires at 8/31, 9/1, 9/2 (but I think you're FP selections stay intact?).
2) avoid checking out and in on 3 days And moving your stuff.

Or is there still something I'm missing? I'm mainly concerned about our MBs and hope no issues with getting the same room. I always try to avoid split stays.

We had the same type of reservations in April at CS. Due to a gift certificate and another discount, we ended up with a Friday reservation, a Saturday reservation, then a third Sunday through Saturday reservation. We made sure each reservation was noted as a continuous stay through the main reservations line and the next reservation number was noted in the comments. We stayed in the same room, and used the same magic bands as room keys for the entire trip. We did online check in for the first day, but had to check out and in on the second and third days at the front desk. No moving of stuff. When you go down first thing in the morning, no one is there, so it took about 5 minutes each day.

Thanks Bill,
So request Continuous stay throughout the 3 reservations. You must have requested that in advance over the phone since you did online check in first day. Seems weird they still made you check out and in 2nd/3rd day's if they said you could get the same room throughout.

1b. Ive heard that guests aren't in resort system until 10 days out to allow for cancellations. If I call resort then or wait until check in and request to keep same room: do I prevent the need to

1a. You have three separate reservations. If all three are for the exact same room category at Sports you can call and request that the reservations be noted as "continuing" and that you would like to remain in the same room. It is only a request and not guaranteed, but the castmembers will do their best to keep you in the same room.
1b. Travelocity currently owns your 8/31 and 9/1 reservations. I don't know if it is 10 days in advance that they turn the reservations over to Disney, but until that happens any request will have to go through Travelocity unless you are able to get the Disney reservation number from them. Rooms are assigned several days before arrival so it would be easier to call and note the "continuing" before you arrive and then reiterate it when you get to the resort for the first reservation.
1. Your MB will open the door for all three reservations.
2. Because you have three separate reservations you will have to plan on checking out, then in again on the 8/31 and 9/1 because although for you it is one vacation, Disney and Travelocity consider them to be 3 separate reservations. Most likely you have 3 reservation numbers and made 3 deposits.
