How Do You Chat?!?!?

Ok - I have been around the DIS for a long time. I have even made a user name and profile for myself on chat. I see these "advertisements" to come chat and whenever I get to the chat room - I can never find anyone in any of the rooms??!?!?!?!

Can someone please fill me in?

For example, just a few minutes ago I went in to the chat that started 25 minutes before thinking surely someone was there chatting. Not a soul was in any room. I checked them all.

Is there a mysterious room that I am not seeing?

Hi Angie. we are there every night at 9ish...give or take a few minutes and I do believe there is a lunch time chat....I am going to let someone else give you when that is cuz I do not want to give the wrong information.. Also on Sundays there is UK chat...I think it is around 2 but I will let Nativetxn fill you in on that one as she hosts it with another Dis chat host, I believe it is Hillary..

Please try again to come and find us, we love to meet new people... Let the host that you are new to chat too so that they can help you if need be...

Sorry to hear I missed you in chat last night - I had gotten so cold that I left and went to bed about 10:15 last night

There is chat every night at 9PM eastern standard time.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights the chat topic is something about Disney chosen by the hosts.

Thursday night is collector's chat, anyone who likes to collect Disney pins is welcome.

Friday night is cruise chat, the hosts are veteran cruisers on the Disney Cruise Line and can answer any questions.

Saturday night is sort of a "party night". Any questions you might have about WDW will be entertained but the atmosphere is rather festive and funny.

Sunday afternoon at <b>2PM est</b> is Transatlantic chat. This is a chat set at a time when our friends in the UK or Holland or Germany can join us in the chat room. It is usually a trip planning chat. I've made some good friends in that chat.

Sunday night is Disney Vacation Club chat. If you have questions about the Disney Vacation Club, this is where to go to get them answered.

I hope you will try to join in chat again sometime. It begins at 9PM and will go for one hour to one and one half hours or longer.

I will certainly try again soon, but it wasn't going for an hour to an hour and a half last night when I was there it was 8:25 central time and I stayed and played around with it until 8:40 but couldn't find anyone. Now if you guys were there, I couldn't find you!!

Well, they were there. I wonder why you couldn't find them....did the room you were in say "Main Lobby"?

You see, that's why I was asking. I knew that surely the chat wasn't over that quick. I tried every room and I was the only one listed. I even wrote a couple of lines and entered them, but nobody else's handle ever showed up.

Was I doing something wrong?

First, do you use AOL or another dial up internet provider? If you do use dial up, did you use their browser to enter chat or did you use Internet Explorer.

Which chat program did you use? Did you use ichat?

I can try to meet you in chat at your convenience and see if we can't figure this out.

If you use a dial up ISP, it can cause problems if you use their browser. In that situation you should log on to your ISP, then minimize the page and enter chat using Internet Explorer and the ichat program or java lite.

I used the chat link on wdwinfo to log in. And I logged in as a new user even though I had logged in before.

I was totally into the chat room. It even said it was for the DIS, just nobody else was showing up in any of the rooms.
