How do you celebrate your last night?

I'm nostalgic and sentimental enough as it is without making a big deal of the end of our stay (especially since it can not be an "Every Year" thing for us) ... that being said, we ended our trip this year as if it was just any other day, in fact, I don't even exactly recall what we did that night ... during the day we hopped around to each park and went on our favorite attractions.

We did go for a nice walk around the grounds at POR one last time though ... it is amazing to me how quickly it can feel like home there.

Hmmmm, you guys gave me a great idea. Our last day, our travel day, we don't fly to 4:50 maybe I'll make plans to eat at Kona Cafe for breakfast. I've always wanted to try the Tonga Toast.

It seems we've gone to Epcot and seen Illuminations on most of our last nights. We always try to make a short visit to the Magic Kingdom on the morning that we leave. It's bittersweet.

MK and Wishes here too! Then afterwards try to finish with one final "really Disney" ride-Winnie the pooh if possible.

This is our first trip, but our last night is on a Friday night, and its grad night so the park closes early, so I booked HDDR for our last night. I think our family will enjoy it! (I HOPE!)

You're in Disney how could you not enjoy it!

Wishes for us as well, and it will be the first thing we do when we go back.

This trip will be tougher though  DD9 has a list of other things she wants to see like the East Coast of Canada, Grand Canyon, The Loch Ness Monster, Buckingham Palace, Holland, Germany and Australia, hopefully not all in the same trip! :teeth:

Well you could do Germany at Epcot! And Canada. And I've a feeling I've seen a topiary Loch Ness Monster somewhere at WDW-anyone remember where? Can't help with Buck Palace-show her the fish and chip shop and tell her thats where the Queen lives-I'm sure most Brits would prefer a fish and chip shop anyway...... :rolleyes1

Is the Lego Loch Ness Monster still at DTD? :confused3

I agree with Hobbes - us Brits would prefer a fish and chip shop over Buck Palace! :teeth:

This year, I'm booking the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian for DD on our last day. That way, I'll be able to go buy the PhotoPass CD in peace! :lmao:

The main reason we by hoppers is for the last day. We try to hit our favorite rides in each park and end the day in MK. We end the night either at Jellyrolls, or if were to tired, we relax at resort lounge.

We usually eat an early dinner, try to hit our favorite rides again, and then get all dressed up for a night on the town. We'll hit PI, then head downtown to go out.

We've been staying in the Epcot area the last 5 - 6 trips so the last day we'll choose a park we want to hit again, usually AK for some reason, then hop to Epcot, stroll WS, have a few brews and take in Illuminations. After that we'll check out the BoardWalk and do whatever suits us.

We start and end each trip with the MK. To me nothing says Disney like MK. We try to ride all of DD's favorites and stay for the parade and fireworks. It just seems like the perfect ending to the perfect trip

We don't go to the MK on the last day. The last afternoon/evening we hop on a boat from Ft Wilderness, jump on a monorail, see the water parade, stroll back to our campsite then pretend I have something in my eye....no they're not tears.

Fantasmic!, or just going to whatever evening EMH park is available, and thrill riding the whole night.
