Are there special things you can buy to keep your tickets handy and safe?
Amy

The Moms in charge "pack mule" if you will...in front of the fanny pack is a plastic lined pocket keeps em dry....got it in florida at walmart...

Last time we were at DL, we caved and bought lanyards with a plastic card holder accessory. We'll probably use those again for the May trip to the World.

I have a leather fanny pack that has more pockets than my purse...
Everyone's passes get zipped up in the small, front pocket...It keeps them handy and safe...:)

We use these....97-cents at Wal Mart in the wallet section of the jewelry department. The plastic holder has a zip lock closure to keep your tickets safe and there is an open ended pocket on the front which we use to slip in our Fastpasses. This is a very lightweight lanyard so it's not heavy around your neck at all. We like using these because our tickets or FPs are very handy and easy to get to.

I really like that. I assume it could be small enough to slip into a wallet if needed? I am more worried about our tickets/room keys demagnetizing and wonder if this is a good solution.

I measured mine for you...the plastic holder is 4 1/2" by 3 1/4". :) They also come in a vertical design in addition to the horizontal one in the picture.

I was worried about the demagnetizing, also...this way I can keep our tickets and room keys separate. :thumbsup2

Thank you. I guess you really can't go wrong with that price. I'll be running over to our local Wal*Mart soon.

You're welcome! :)

They are usually hanging up in the section where they have those inexpensive fabric foldover wallets with velcro closures. Maybe that will help you zero in on the location. ;)

I use the same method, but I can't stand things around the neck, so it's a caliber clip onto the belt loops for me. Easy access and no need to worry about the demagetizaiton! :rotfl:

I thought that my room key and my tickets were the same thing last year. Am I not remembering right or what? I'll be staying DVC this year. Do you know if I'll have a separate room key & tickets for that? Why is it that the closer it gets to my trip, the more panicked (sp?) I get about things?:confused3

Yes, I believe room key, tickets, and charging privileges are all on the same card. Extra scary so we definitely have to watch out for demagnetizing.

I'm a little slow, what demagnetizes them? I love these ideas! I have been wondering the same thing!

Cellphones and credit cards cause the cards to demagnetize. I learned this the hard way.

We usually keep our tickets either in DH's wallet or in a pouch in our fanny pack. I thought only magnets demagnitized the cards...how would a credit card affect them? I know to keep my debit cards away from magnets, but why would I keep my tickets away from the debit card?

Honestly, I have no idea how credit cards demagnitze the tickets. When I went to have my ticket replaced, the CM told me to make sure I keep my tickets away from cellphones and any other cards that contain a magnet strip, such as credit cards.

Any kind of magnetic strip can demagnetize your room key/tickets and vice versa. If 2 credit cards magnetic strips rub against each other they could demagnetize. That's why they tell you to keep your credit cards all facing the same way.

In your cell phone's ear piece is a small magnet of sorts (so I hear, no pun intended) that can demagnetize any cards. If you have a purse, eyeglass holder, or anything that closes with a magnet, they could prove "fatal".

When we are in the parks, we generally only carry our room key/tickets/credit privilege cards and maybe some cash. We never bring an extra credit card. However, we may be bringing gift cards this year for each of our kids so we will need to keep them apart.

I am trying to make sure we don't have any "extra" magnets that could possibly harm our cards and also do every measure to ensure our cards stay safe.

I was able to seperate my tickets from anything magnetic by having my sister carry the tickets in her bag and I had the cellphone and credit cards in my bag. Next time, I i'm thinking about investing in a lanyard to hold my tickets, this way seems more convenient than having to looking through my bags to find my tickets, while backing up the lines at fastpass...I tend to be a little unorganized.

We keep ours in our wallets.

And I find it hard to believe that a credit card magnetic strip would demagnetize a ticket magnetic strip. Afterall, we keep all our credit cards in the same wallet and they don't demagnetize each other.
