How do you carry your stuff in the water park?

At the regular parks I bring a small backpack.

I have worn a fanny pack at a water park, but it looks just awful with a bathing suit. :scared1: I also want to try the more intense slides, and I'm guessing a fanny pack won't be allowed. I think I need another option!

We can put some stuff in a locker, but I like to keep money, park tickets & room keys on me. Also, what do you do with the key to the locker? In my experience, the plastic holders you can buy to put around your neck are cheap and break quickly. How do they hold up on the intense slides? Will it get tangled around your neck?

Anyone have ideas?

TIA

I wondered these same things when we went in June. I bought a mesh tote bag from the dollar store to put our towels and other stuff in. When we got to Typhoon Lagoon, we rented a locker. I put our clothes, shoes and wallet in the locker. The locker key came on a springy bracelet so I kept it around my wrist. I took our tote bag, towel and sunscreen to a beach chair and left it there all morning.

My husband's swim trunks had a velcro pocket. I took a ziplock bag and put about $20.00 in it. It stayed relatively dry even after riding all the slides, wave pool and floating in the lazy river.

I don't think a fanny pack would work because I think they'd ask you to take it off. I didn't like the look of the plastic case things that you wear around your neck. I did see a lot of people with them though.

We like to live on the wild side. I have a tote bag that we park next to a few beach chairs. Since we wear our suits, our outer clothes go back in the bag, and shoes go next to the chair. DH keeps his key, with charging privileges in his pocket. Mine, w/out charging goes in bag. No big deal if it gets stolen - not that it ever has. We also take about $10 so we can get the donuts, but that also goes in the bag until needed. If it gets stolen, again no big deal - not that its happened either. We don't take anything expensive with us, just towels, clothes and about $10 - usually no camera, or just the disposable underwater one.

We carried one tote bag where we stashed wallets (little cash and room keys, on dining plan) and cameras hidden under our clothes and carried towels separately; which we really wouldn't have needed in late August, we were practically dry when we reached our chairs; and left the bag and towels at chairs while we enjoyed the rides.

We either rent a locker for clothes etc.. or leave them on a chair. I carry money & cards in one of those plastic cases around my neck. They work great & I feel safe knowing I have my cards/cash on me.

Born and rasied in Florida...... keep money in my pocket at beach, pool, water park, nothing is more fun than paying with wet money (I haven't tried wet credit cards...but money works just as good when its wet) :fish: :fish: :fish:

My swim suit has a water tight pocket, it is basically a really sturdy ziplock that can be attached to a strap inside another pocket and then be zipped into the pocket, you can also use the strap to attach the locker key. That is what I usually use.

I usually get a locker for my clothes and buy one of those water proof money holders to wear around my neck for room keys/park tickets/ credit card etc. The cheap plastic ones are flimsy, but these ones hold up pretty well IMO

Here are some choices... I use the "waterproof wallet"

Looks good! Do they sell them at old fashioned stores? Sports equipment shops maybe? I'm trying to save on shipping...

We just stick our stuff (IDs, one room key, and one set of car keys) into our shoes, cover them with our shirts and put them on a chair with our towels over the whole thing. That's what we do anywhere.

We had an aquapac and it worked great! Clothes and shoes and sunscreen went in a locker and keys, cash, credit cards went in the aquapac. No leaks or anything!
