How do you carry stuff in the parks?

Last time we went to Disney I had all the kids with me so we had 2 full size strollers that we could use to store all of our stuff. This summer I'm taking just the oldest 2 kids (9 and 8) and I'm not sure if I should plan on lugging around a backpack all day for water, etc. I'm not thrilled with the idea of carrying around a backpack in 90+ weather and humidity. Are there any other suggestions for dealing with this?

Now that our DD is 8, this trip I am only carrying an over the shoudler purse (Travelon bag) It will hold my camera, our tickets, a cell phone, and our park maps. That's all I'm carrying this trip. My DD will have her fanny pack for her autograph book, and pressed penny money. Last trip I carried a backpack and all this in it, plus water bottles, first aid supplies, snacks,ect...
NEVEN AGAIN!!! We didn't use hardly anything we brought. This year we have the dining plan so we will just get our waters and drinks with the snack credit. I'm lightening up this year!! :cheer2:

We downsized from carrying a huge film camera in a case to just a tiny digital camera. My husband got a little camera case to carry it on his belt.

I got a fanny pack big enough for a couple diapers and wipes and still have room for my things. It also holds 2 water bottles, but I'm not crazy about carrying around heavy water bottles.

Also will have a shoulder tote with a change of clothes for our ds. We take the same tote on all our vacations. DH can help carry it part of the time.

That's what we plan on doing.

I BOUGHT A TRAVELON TOO!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! :cool1:

I do a backpack (yup...in July). It holds water, camera, wallet, etc. but lightens up quickly as the day goes on (and we drink the water).

I use the front pocket of it for passes, keys, fastpasses.

I couldn't live without it...I go from both shoulders, to the right, to the left, and put if down when we're in lines.

The last time, I used a backpack and stroller since we had our daughter and needed to keep our camera, wallet, and this and that with us. But we had also rented two lockers which really helped. It was very convinent since it was also next to the bathrooms.

I usually carry a small sholder bag for camera, KTTW card (usually don't bring much money just use the card) waterless hand cleaner, sun block and a water bottle. Now that my nephew is old enough we have him carry his own stuff which lighten to the load a lot. Less year I bought him a fanny pack that had mesh holders holders on the sides. Perfect to put a power-aid on one side and a water bottle on the other. The inside was big enough to hold his camera, autograph book, pen and a few snacks. It worked out great, whenever he wanted something, he had it right there, i didn't have to dig in a big bag looking for it. This year i bought him one of those biking backpacks that have a water bag in it, with a tube that comes up the sholder to drink. He loves it. We are planning to fill the water bag with ice and some water so that as the water melts he will have ice cold water all day. It is really light weight and has more then enough room to carry everything he needs. The best part is that he thinks it's cool because of the water, so he'll carry it instead of having me do it. :woohoo: My aunt (who is going with us on this trip) is buying them for her kids as well. My mother and I are thinking of getting them for ourself as well. If anyone is interested BJ's has them on sale for $12.

Hello. I'm going to WDW in May with my two daughters (3 and 6), my hubby and my mom. I'm just not sure what I should do about a stroller. Is it too much trouble to bring two single ones, or just bring the double. Any suggestions is GREATLY appreciate. Thank you! :)

Here's another vote for Travelon!! I absolutely *love mine!! It holds everything and I never even realize I am wearing it. I've taken it on every vacation since I got it and use it for daily use as well. Best $20 I ever spent! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the reviews on Travelon. I just bought one and I think it will meet my needs.

where did you order it from, and is it true it hangs over the left shoulder?? wouldn't that be wird for those righthanded??

No, it goes over your shoulder and hangs in front of you like a messenger bag. Which also makes your things much safer for travel! I love the cell phone holder too, so convenient! I bought mine from Ebags. If you got to Ebags and put in Travelon and click on it, you can see the inside of it perfectly...all kinds of compartments but when closed it's like nothing at all.

i was deciding between that and the expandable leather one............

they have so many to choose from on qvc i'm getting sooooooconfused

I got the microfiber...in black! The beige got dirty so fast, so I bought a black one. I'd worry about the leather getting wet on the rides...I don't want to have to stress about my bag on vacation! I've gotten the microfiber wet and it dries very quickly and especially with the black one...doesn't show dirt or wetness at all.
