One method is to count all the days until your trip including the 1st day. For example: we leave on 11/29 so including 11/29 there are 49 days left.

The other method is to count all the days up until your departure, not including the 1st day of your trip. We leave on 11/29 so not including that day we have 48 days left.

So, which way is correct?????????? Do I have 49 or 48 days left until WDW?

I count down to our departure day/time where we leave for the airport.

Our trip this year will be really cool because instead of the majority of our other vacations where we work on a Friday/leave on a Saturday, we'll both be off work for the Thanksgiving holiday (Thursday & Friday). So the Saturday before we leave we can take our dog to his pet resort and then finish packing on Saturday. Not so much stress (I hope!).

Hehe...
My husband laughs at me....When I count our days remaining before a trip, I never count the day it is that day or the day we leave for our trip. Heck, sometimes I won't even count the day before we leave (packing is an important part of any vacation...right?) :rotfl:
It's my Mickey Mouse math!! ::MickeyMo

Well this is an interesting question. I have 156 days, but in my opinion its 150, just drop off the last number.

Like the previous poster said, Mickey Mouse Math. :earboy2:

In our family it's "how many sleeps" till we leave. For our trip mid January, it's too soon to start counting. HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING TRIP!

:teeth: I start labeling the day before we leave as "1". But since there is work/school the day we leave I sort of have to count that day, too. If I wasn't working it wouldn't count!

No matter how you count it WE LEAVE IN 60 HOURS!!!!
At least that is the scheduled departure time for our flight.

So technically we leave in 3 days, because today hasn't even started yet. I have a 10 hour shift looming so today is definitely NOT over! I guess it depends on the schedule for your departure day if you want to count it or not. In high school one of our teachers was counting down to graduation and he would say "X days, plus a wake-up". By that method we have two days and a wake-up.

Have fun! By the time you choose a method the time could be much shorter!

When my butt hits the airplane seat, I'm on vacation. My counter is calibrated to that moment. Too bad the old 'realtime' counters aren't allowed anymore.

we drive so the day we leave is day 1 of trip but not day 1 of disney since that is really day 2 of trip and then the day we leave still is only the second to last day of trip but last day of disney( if that seems confusing it 's cause it'sadvanced mm math)
