How do YOU beat the last day blues?

Hi,

I have really enjoyed reading the threads on first day and first night activities. My biggest problem is how to spend the last day, without feeling like you are just killing time before setting off for the airport. With the demise of the DD check, my last day will be worse than usual.
How do you spend your last few hours?

We usually shop (but then find that we've bought the stuff we want to, so it never fills as much time as it should.)
We sometimes play mini golf.
If we have tix left we might spend 1/2 day in a park, looking at our watches and feeling blue:(

Any tips?

I don't think its possible to stop those last day blues. All you can do is start to dream about your next trip!!!!:( :( :(

We plan to hit MK as it is EE on our last day, then finish off with lunch at Beaches and Cream before heading for the airport.

We have a tradition of visiting Seaworld on our last morning. Feeding the dolphins always seems to lift our spirits (for a few minutes anyway. LOL) It is also en-route to the airport so we can maximise time on our last day.

We do shopping and Seaworld usually - don't get the blues though 'cos we book our next holiday when we get back.

To be honest being self-employed we are usually thinking the quicker we get home the sooner we can sort out any problems. So we don't get last day bluess just a need to get back to work asap

To be honest, after 3 weeks, we were about ready to go home.

We had to drive to Orlando from Bradenton on the Gulf Coast. After checking in at MCO, we drove back to Downtown Disney for last minute shopping and lunch and then went to Fantasia Golf (only had time for about 10 holes though). With all that, we didn't have much time for last day blues LOL.

We usually have an attempt at packing, leave hotel at around 11 then go to a park( thanks to our ap's) for a long lunch and a last minute wonder round .... then the dreaded drive to the airport ;)

You'll probably think me odd, but I always look forward to going home - no matter where I've been on holiday. Not that I'm desperate to leave WDW, but I like to get home to see the mail and make sure the house is still in one piece and get the brochures for our next trip!!!!!!!

We usually get to the airport relatively early - i hate queing for check-in. :(

We're staying in a villa and I notice some of you have also, what happens with the luggage on the last day.

If we're in a villa, we pack up/ship out and hit an outlet mall, having planned it for the "take home" items - not those we'll need while we're there! That way you can repack in the parking lot LOL!

If we're on-site, we pack up, drop the bags at bell services and hang out at the pool. If, like me, you've befriended the bartender during your stay, he/she'll make sure you're feeling no pain when it's departure time! (Only joking! Well, only a bit!)

Our luggage lived in the car on the last day - one advantage of having a car with a vast boot/trunk.

Thanks for all your ideas.

I refuse to think about my last day anymore - going to concentrate on my first day in a couple of weeks time!

:p  :bounce:
