How do we object to a ad in the postings here?

If you click on the triangle next to the "X" at the top right of the ad, one of the options is to report the ad, and you can select "Ad is inappropriate" as the reason. I have to say though, I've seen that ad and never thought of it as unacceptable. It's basically short shorts, and most bikinis will display more than that.

What is the alternative? Asking people to pay to access the site? Wouldn't most people just leave DisBoards and move to a free site?

The alternative is for Corey and others to figure out, but I will say that I visit tons of different sites on a daily or weekly basis on the same device and same browser I’m using right now, and I have never had the consistent problem that I’ve had on the DIS with pop-ups, redirects and browser hijacks. And I know I am not alone.

If I could be reassured that I wouldn’t be redirected or have my browser hijacked again, I’d happily white-list the site. But so long as the response from Corey is “A bad ad must have gotten through the filter. There is nothing we can do about it,” my choice is to either a.) ad-block or b.) leave the site.

I buy a fair amount of stuff from Magic Candle, so I hope that balances things out.

Just wanted to say that I hate popup ads, I hate political ads and I hate auto-run video. I just clicked on a thread on the theme park forum and got a popup political auto-run video ad.*

Less than magical.

I agree, that’s normally what I get, ads similar to what I look up. But I’m 56 years old and 240 Lbs. I can assure you I did not look for ANYTHING like that on my phone! LOL

Like what? It is just normal clothing so any clothing search online may result in ads.

I haven't gotten answer as to whether this has been handled or not, but since it does not belong on the Cruise Board, and is now turning into bickering, I'm going to close it.
