How do we get to Discovery Cove?

My Wife and I will be going to Discovery Cove for 1 day during our trip to WDW. I am told that this is located close to Sea World and about a 15-20 minute car ride. We will be staying at The Port Orleans Riverside Resort.

What is the best method of transportation? Taxi? Rental Car?

Will the front desk help us in securing this transportation?

Have any of you been to Discovery Cove? Comments?

My friend and I took her two kids to Discovery Cove two years ago. It was the highlight of our trip. Words can't express the beauty of the park and the time we had. Swiming with the dolphins is just awsome and the entire park is beautiful. We were staying at AKL at the time and took a towncar from their to the park and back and it cost us about $50. We felt it was worth it since we knew they would be there when we got done and could depend on the driver to be reliable. Enjoy your visit there

When my nephew and I did Discovery Cove in July '04, we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and used Sunray Transportation. Think it's like $60 round trip + gratuity. We had set up a pick up time for 5pm because we were doing the Trainer for a Day program and ended up running about 20-30 minutes late because of thunderstorms. I was surprised and quite pleased to find our driver was still there waiting for us and acted like it was absolutely all right.
