How do VIP Tours operate for non-LL rides?

We are trying to do some planning and are considering a VIP tour. We will have hoppers so park tix are not an issue. In order to get priority area for MK fireworks do you need to have your tour end at that time? We are there in August and will need to figure out the timing and honestly, I am worried about the heat.
You could book a fireworks and dessert package! If the VIP tour doesn't work out.

LOL! The price of our trip keeps rising. LOL! Every time we turn around there is something else we want to add on. can you tell I have not been in 5 years and it has been 6 for my daughter's family

It's so easy to do! I have a lot of things to book once my booking window starts - which reminds me, I need to set a reminder in my phone or I'll forget!

I just called teh VIP tours folks. The cost for our days fluctuates from 550 to 600 an hour. You can determine your start time by when you want to end. They can drop you at the castle hub 30 minutes prior to showtime, so if it is a 9 PM fireworks display our start time would be 1:30 PM. We are now doing some girl math to see if we can justify this. LOL! So far there is no discount for us. The 20% discount applies to DVC, but we are renting points, so no go for us. Or Club Level. That is not an add on (we tried) for Copper Creek VIllas.

I know this is all up in the air since the system changes next Wednesday with LL passes-but just curious if anyone who has done a tour this summer thought it was worth it to pay for the tour vs just continually book LL passes?

We are long time Disney visitors and I am going to figure out the new system/check the data etc when it starts next week. I am trying to figure out if it would be worth it to do a VIP tour (bucket list item) if we have to wait in all of the LL lines anyway for the tour.

Ie, if I can figure out the LL system and be efficient at it (be able to get a lot of passes throughout the day), is that basically the same as a tour because we would be waiting in the same lines? This is all assuming I can figure out the new system quickly though :)

I don't really think it's comparable. A VIP tour literally costs thousands a day to do while the new LL system is maybe $35 at most per person. With a VIP tour guide, you won't have to worry about checking for LL lane availability, you will simply go through the LL lane. You, on most attractions, will still use LL entrance and have some wait, you just won't have to try and "fish" for times. A VIP tour guide will also be able to get you to the attractions you want to experience in a very efficient manner, including driving and parking in backstage areas for better access. If you want to see/do a lot and have limited time and are willing to pay upwards of $5000 for a day, a VIP tour is definitely worth it.

… is that basically the same as a tour because we would be waiting in the same lines?…
Not remotely. Everyone else has to plan, wait between rides, hit them at certain hours, keep checking in their phone throughout the day, wait until they’re able to use a LL to book their next that may or may not be nearby or what they want- VIP tours just walk into whatever LL they want. That is a totally different world.
